National Museum, Bangkok

Advantages: Shopping, great food, cheap, friendly people
Disadvantages: Tuk-tuk drivers, pollution

...positive surprise. The staff were really friendly and the food was excellent. We also decided to try out the cinema of course (yeah, we enjoy going to the movies). So we bought tickets at EGV (Siam Discovery) and it was Gold Class tickets. I think they have two screens here that are Gold Class. We were not really sure what that was but when we got in we realized that this was the first class at the movies. Instead of normal seats we got these huge red recliners where you could get support for you feet and almost put it into a horizontal position. This made it difficult for quite a few when we had to stand up when they were playing the national anthem before the movie started :-) Please note that there are some unusual pictures in this section. ...--LOCATION AND ACCESSIBILITY-- The National Waterfront Museum is located in Swansea's Maritime Quarter, about 5 minutes walk from the main city centre shops. From outside Swansea, exit the M4 at junction 42 (west) or junction 47 (east) - just keep following the brown signs - the Museum is clearly signposted and is very difficult to miss. There is a large 'pay and display' car park a short distance from the Museum (2 minutes walk). The car park costs £5.00 for a full day. Users of the car park who are visiting the Museum should inform the car park attendant that they intend to use the Museum, whereon you will receive a £3.50 discount voucher redeemable in the Museum's shop on that day. So parking really only costs £1.50 which is very reasonable as there are other things to see close by (Swansea Marina, amusement arcades, shops... Read review

...--LOCATION AND ACCESSIBILITY-- The National Museum of Wales is an impressive building situated in the heart of Cardiff's beautiful Edwardian civic centre, which also houses the old Cardiff City Hall, the Law Courts, Cathays Park and Cardiff University. It is only about 2 minutes walk from Cardiff Castle and about a 15 minute walk from Cardiff Central Bus/Train Station. There are a number of multi storey car parks located in the vicinity of the Museum, although these can be quite expensive - you have been warned! Alternatively, the Council now has a voucher scheme running, whereby visitors can purchase parking vouchers from shops leading into the centre at a cost of £1.20 each, and you are then able to use designated spaces in the City Centre, providing anywhere from 1 to 8 hours parking (depending on how far you are prepared...
