...(Hanguk-mal), easily, quickly, and cheerly. I have four sonsengnim during spring and summer season classes. They were all women.
After the class I usually went to the nearest restaurant (siktang) for lunch. I frequently ate rice with fish-egg (albab). Kimchi (a kind of Korean salad) always available in all Korean restaurants. Kimchi is "national-food". For me, kimchi was too spicy.
Sometimes, I went to Nepal restaurant near Korea University or Pakistan restaurant in Itaewon (an international-suburb in Seoul). You need at least 3,000 Won (+/- USD 3) for a standard meal in Korean restaurant; but in Nepal and Pakistan restaurants the lower price for a standard meal is 6,000 Won (+/- USD 6). My lunch at Nepal or Pakistan restaurants was usually kitchen-baryani or mutton-baryani; served with Indian rice.

...project that was only completed a few years ago. The stream has been restored and now makes a pleasant walk starting from City Hall in central Seoul. There are some nice little sites along the way, like a photo gallery of how the stream looked decades ago.

Advantages: Living museum, shows, lots to see, well laid out Disadvantages: Long way from Seoul, outdoor so not good in bad weather
...The Korean Folk Village is near Suwon and Yonging, on the outskirts of Seoul.
The easiest way to get there from Seoul (and other cities) is to go to Suwon Station.
From Seoul you can go by subway from Seoul Station or City Hall, Line 1
cost: 1200W (about 60p)
time: 60 minutes
Just outside Suwon Station is a tourist information booth who can point you across the street to the ticket office for the folk village.
From here you can buy your entrance tickets to the Folk Village and take the shuttle bus.
It takes about 30 minutes from Suwon.
The entrance to just the folk museum is about 11 000W (adult) (about £6), you can pay extra for the small theme park and folk museum.
Once inside the folk village be sure to pick up a map - it's very helpful and offers suggested routes around the folk village.
It also gives you information about...
