Sandals, the ultimate in all inclusives, Has always had a fascination for me. Right from the time I saw the first glossy adverts in the Sunday papers to now even after having spent two weeks in Sandals Negril.
Right from walking into the travel agents here the whole process was very easy, except of course parting with the money.
Tickets all arrived with more glossy photos within two weeks and everything had been thought of everything even down to travel insurance.
Off to the airport and on to the plane, no problems there either.
We arrived in Montego Bay and where whisked off to Negril, a pretty end of Jamaica. We were met with drinks and the formalities were dealt with quickly and we were shown to our room. The room was spacious with air conditioning mezzanine floor with a large double bed and separate lounge. We overlooked the sea and it was really beautiful.
The resort had all the usual features with swimming pools, gyms 4 restaurants serving different varieties of cooking and countless bars and snack areas.
Water sports dominate the agenda as you must expect but the all-inclusive tag included them all even scuba diving. Other activities included excursions and historical trips.
There was limitless food and drink and even cigarettes all provided. This is unlimited and free, well paid for already.
The staff were friendly, helpful and only too pleased to please. The hotel was clean and fresh and really it looked like all those glossy photos that had so inspired me.
The down side, yes there is always one, the cost. It was an expensive holiday. Well worth it as it turned out but two weeks for £3000 for two, hmm maybe for special occasions only, maybe that is why the place was full of newly weds. Still just next-door was hedonism; yes the one that was featured on telly. You could freely visit them and partake of their activities. I wonder how many of those newlyweds are still weds.

Advantages: Everything - its an amazing place! Disadvantages: None that we encountered, although we heard it wasn't safe to venture out into Negril on your own.
