Returning from a Sunday's touring at 11.10 p.m. I was amazed to find the place locked up and all staff gone home! After ten minutes ... ...guest. This is quite un-acceptable. A neighbour across the road with in structions to 'keep an eye on the place' came across and found my room key. Incidentally, the restaurant was closed for the next two days, residents having to eat in the bar.The place is badly in need of more staff and in my opinion should not be accepting guests while there is no overnight staffing. The staff themselves however, were very helpful and deserve credit for working ... more

Stayed with my partner over Christmas and New Year period. Staff were excellent, food was terrible!! The restaurant menu was exactly the same as the bar menu. An over ambitious chef with lots of time on his hands, over pricing the easiest of dishes.
Nent Hall is a beautiful place but the owner seriously needs to look at the kitchen staff, they totally let this place down, and I would not visit again, the food is awful!! ...

Advantages: top class building Disadvantages: poor facilities
Booked room for disabled person, bars around toilet but no facilities for showering or bathing, Shower over bath no good for disabled not even a seat in the bathroom had to sit on wc.
Breakfast, full english, in the morning was terrible, mushrooms were more stalk than cap were tough and cold. The bacon was two pieces stuck together the top one cooked the one under not it had not even been turned over.The sausage was dry giving the impression it ... ...cold plate. Its a bad sign when the staff dont use a cloth to carry the plates.
Was asked if we wanted to book a table for evening meal at £25 for two coarses or £35 for three i dont doubt they had a proper chef on in the evening but at that price we were not willing to take a chance. ...
