...and comprises lots of islands, of which only just over 60 or so are inhabited. It is said to be one of the cleanest seas in the Mediterranean and is wonderfully warm.
Porec, our destination, was originally a Roman town positioned on a wooded peninsula amongst small bays and lots of uninhabited islands on the Istrian Riviera in northern Croatia. It offers a spectacular shoreline with little coves and pebble and rocky beaches. We arrived in the centrally situated Hotel Neptun in June. The Hotel is located in the heart of the old town and overlooks the harbour.
We were fortunate in that we had been allocated a room with a sea view overlooking this picturesque harbour. Despite being surrounded by bars and restaurants, it wasn’t too noisy at night; the only noise coming from cats who started fighting every night and the seagulls who never...

Advantages: Small, Beautiful views of the adriatic, Disadvantages: Don't take your car, the streets are tiny!
...pallet.
Check out the Neptune a bistro about a two minute walk from the market place, who do a wonderful “noki” dish, which is a local speciality.
Another must in Piran is a visit to the “Bell Tower”. It costs about 2-3 Tollar (uk = 50p), the Slovenia local currency. ka2cu
Advantages: Beautiful scenery Disadvantages:
...Malaysia is a beautiful country especially in Penang where I stayed for 2 nights by the coast. I enjoyed my visit greatly, full of culture and fun. The restaurants were fabulous especially the sea food restaurants where they offer quite good value sea food. On the other side of the scale there is the night market where food is one of its main focus, with its multi colored sweetcorn, cold deserts, and snacks. One of the most exciting moments was when the snake temple with snakes all over the place. I didn't stay in there for long! Transfer from the hotel did not take long and a drive to mainland Malaysia is a very enjoyable one with lots to see....
