Advantages: Cheap, nice rooms Disadvantages: Located a little outside of city centre
...Anyone who has read any of my previous reviews will have probably realised that I will use any excuse to travel. This year the plan was to spend most of it at home as we are saving money for our wedding, but when one of my friends announced that he was being seconded to Munich for 4 months, I was straight away planning a trip away!

Advantages: Everythings cheap Disadvantages: difficult language

Advantages: Palazzo Ducale (Doge’s Palace), walking around in a unique city Disadvantages: Expensive accommodation, the city is a bit small

The Venetian word for foundry is geto and hence the name ghetto which has later been used to describe Jewish enclaves around the world. We paid about 8 € each to get a little tour of the ghetto and I’m not sure that it was worth the money. But we did get to see the synagogues inside and that was nice because it was really hard to tell that there were any synagogues there from the outside of the buildings. This was due to rules and regulations in Venice. One of the Synagoges has an original Venetian floor. We experienced this in other buildings as well and at first I was afraid that the floor was about to collapse because you could actually feel...
