Advantages: Pleasent stay, good food, central location Disadvantages: Views from room
eateries/drinking places and chose 372, which offers carvery selection. I was surprise how hot and fresh the food was. Not only that it was tasty too! We opted for lamb with roast potatoes, new potatoes and three vegetables. However, my only complaint about the meal was the vegetables; they were a tad on the raw side for my liking. That said I ALWAYS OVER cook my veggies. Dessert was for me home made apple pie and cream, while the other half opted for home made cheesecake ? both were consumed without any complaints and very much enjoyed. Our meal for two with drinks cost £29)

Advantages: Excellent central location; good bars and restaurants Disadvantages: Rooms a bit old fashioned; a little pricey
Two nights at the Strand Palace and a visit to see the new Dirty Dancing stage show - bought for my wife's birthday. I even paid the extra £20 pppn for a superior "club" room. We were really looking forward to it. Total price was around £240 for the two of us for two nights (no breakfast).

Check-in was a little busy when we got there at 2:30 - we waited in the queue for around 20 minutes, but it was fairly quick when we were seen to. We were checked-in to a room on the 7th floor (there are 9 in the hotel), but we were *so* disappointed when we walked in. The room was tiny - smaller than our bedroom at home. It also overlooked the "well ...
Advantages: Pleasant Staff, Good Customer Service, Nice Breakfast Disadvantages: Expensive
, smelled fresh, there was coffee and tea available as well as some biscuits. There was also some soap in the bathroom and fresh towels. The bathroom was a nice size as well and I really enjoyed the bath. I don't know what it is but, baths in hotel rooms always seem nicer than your own at home. So I enjoyed a luxury bath and was able to style my hair with the hair dryer provided in the room next to a nice, big mirror whilst I was sat down. The room had an average view though it was nothing spectacular. You could hear the business of the London's streets which is something I am not used to living at the other end of the Country and in a quiet cul-de-sac. The bed linen was nice, it looked new and was freshly ironed. The cushions were comfortable and I slept very well apart from the annoying businessman in the room next door to us. There was ...
