Advantages: good location, good food, new friends Disadvantages: small rooms
...is intimate to say the least!
The rooms are varied in shape and amenities, they have TV and tea & coffee making facilities, but we find OK for our week's stay, I believe that they do evening meals but there are so many eateries around that it would be a shame just to stay in.
Breakfasts are wonderful and plentiful.
Don't take our word - go and see it yourselves.

Advantages: Fantastic sea views from King Room, chic room, friendly staff Disadvantages: Blinds let in light, few mod cons
...I went to this hotel for a romantic getaway in February and it was exactly that, incredible romantic. We love our boutique hotels and Brighton has a great selection. The Square is definitely up amongst the best in my experience. It has 9 contemporary rooms and a sophisticated bar. You can even get a range of treatments such as massages in your room for ultimate luxury.
The hotel is well located in a Regency garden square on NewSteine which is just a hop, skip and a jump away from the sea in Kemp Town. We arrived by car and as we are regulars to Brighton knew that the best place to park is at the Marina, where it’s free for the length of your stay and then catch a bus back to Kemp Town. However, the staff at the Square were great in reminding us that this is a good idea. The bus stop is on the main road and only a 2min walk from...

Advantages: Great location Disadvantages: Not very clean. Breakfast not so good
...Myself and my partner decided on a weekend break in Brighton. We decided on the New Europe Hotel at £60 a night for a double room with breakfast.
Our first impression of the room was that it wasn't very clean. We had a fantastic view of the sea and Brighton Pier ... well it would have been a great view if the windows had not been so filthy.
We were advised it was ok to park the car on the steet directly outside the hotel. Next morning the car was about to be towed away and we got a £30 parking fine.
Whilst booking the hotel by telephone I was informed the total price of the room included the entrance fee to a local night club. This turned out to be untrue. There was a concession but it was not totally free entrance.
The breakfast was unsubstanstial as the chef was unable to cook eggs. They were fried so hard they had...

Gone are the days that a holiday in a seaside resort was staying in a boring B&B with an strict landlady and having to share a bathroom down the hall usually with extremely dodgy plumbing!

The New Yorker is in an excellent midtown location with the subway (lines A, C & E) literally steps outside. Being on the corner of 8th Avenue and 34th Street this meant good access to Macy's, Empire State Building, Madison Square Gardens and the... more
