The New Steine Hotel is in a good location, very close to the sea front and close by to the shops and bars, however, when you look at the website you imagine the hotel to be of a higher standard than it actually is!! Rooms/lounge etc. Our ''Deluxe Double with a Sea View' was 2 matresses pushed together with a hard ply wood head board stuck to the wall. No lamp on one side of the bed and the sea view was only visible if you put your head outside of the window. It was hard to see the TV as it was fixed in one position and not visible from one side of the bed. Although it was clean and the people were very helpful and friendly we did expect more for £230 for 2 nights. Have to say the breakfast was ok though.
Maybe I am out of touch with the prices of Hotels but I have stayed in hotels of a much higher standard from less money in the past!! Guess thats the city for you!
