Woodbury Common Outlet
Review of Woodbury Common Premium Outlet by 007addict

Advantages: Lots of good sized shops with good discounts
Disadvantages: A day trip and New York City offers much the same in Macys

I have been to Woodbury Common a couple of times and know several people who have too. Mody of us are of the same opinion..it's great. However, if you are going to be doing any shopping in New York City the likely hood is that you will be able to find everything you need in the likes of Macy's, Century 21, Old Navy, etc. If you're passing Woodbury Common, and you have the time (there are loads of shops) call in, but I don't know if I would make ...
...might miss due to it.. It is very clean and family friendly though and pretty easy to find by car , if you have someone who can map read. The road signs in the USA take a little while to get used to. Also beware of the tolls. They are cheap, but sometimes you get a ticket which you then give to the next toll and the price depends on how are you have been. By cheap I mean $1 or $2. ... Read review

Review of Empire State Building, New York by DeniseKelly40

Advantages: Got to see the whole city with little crowds about
Disadvantages: cold and wet, quite expensive compared to other options

...The views from the Empire State Building was amazing however I thought the views from the Top of The Rock was better as you could see the Empire State in the skyline which in my opinion was alot more interesting and it was a cheaper option. But I stil had to go up to say id been on the empire state building it was a must couldnt go to New York without visiting here! After we came out of there we were waiting on taxi's and someone appoached us about ... Read review

Madison Square Garden Tour
Review of Madison Square Garden by chellbian

Advantages: not just sports, guided tour with knowledgable tour guides
Disadvantages: brief

...enjoy our recent visit to Madison Square Garden. I thought that it was going to be a sports orientated afternoon and I am not a big sports fan. My husband is though, so I went along with him. It turns out that Madison Square Garden is not all about sport after all! We both ended up having a great afternoon. The entrance fee was approx $15 per person and this included a guided tour of several areas of the venue. We had a helpful tour guide who was ...
...celebrities have performed and still do perform at the Garden. We had time and opportunity for some good photo opportunities throughout the tour. All in all, the Madison Square Garden tour was great value for money and an enjoyable hour (or so). Highly recommended for adults and children alike. ... Read review

Central Park away from hussle and bustle
Review of Central Park by DeniseKelly40

Advantages: Good to get away from crowds of people
Disadvantages: Can't walk in at night

...spent half a day in Central park and it definately wasnt long enough. Not living in a city myself I felt it strange being in a park and seeing skyscaper buildings all at the same time. The place is alot bigger than I had initially thought. I got a horse and carriage ride through central park which I thought was nice however it wasnt a very long trip on it maybe 10 or 15mins maximum. I could have walked around the ciruit they go however our carriage ...
...is just a nice walk away from the hussle and bustle of the city. However I was warned to not walk in Central Park at night or by myself if it could be avoided as there is a high crime rate here, but I never seen anything like this myself. ... Read review

Big savings in the Big Apple !
Review of TKTS--Times Square by funphobic2

Advantages: Cheap tickets, great seats
Disadvantages: Tickets can only be purchased on day of performance

No trip to the Big Apple is complete without seeing a show on Broadway. The one thing that might prevent you from going is the cost. $100 (£65) for decent seats is extremely expensive considering the amount you have probably paid to get to NYC. I was determined to go, but not at those prices. So whist in the UK I ploughed through the Internet only to find a rather wonderful little outlet called TKTS in Time Square, which turned out to be my saviour! ...
...a nutshell? *** TKTS is a small company that sells discounted Broadway, Off-Broadway, Dance and Music events tickets, which can only be purchased on the day of performance. The company has been around since 1973 and works in conjunction with the cooperation of The League of American Theatres and Producers, Inc., The League of Off Broadway Theatres and Producers, Inc. and The City of New York Parks & Recreation, Michael R. Bloomberg, Mayor, Adrian ... Read review
