St. Paul's: "The Little Chapel That Stood"
Review of St Paulīs Chapel, New York by BawBaw

Advantages: Inspiration for humanitarian conduct
Disadvantages: The ongoing pain of loss

•••Introduction••• The manmade landscape of Lower Manhattan consists of a wondrously eclectic assemblage of intriguing structures. In the midst of this landscape, a carefully roving eye will detect an unnatural hole--unnatural, in that it is devoid of a skyline. That hole, of course, is the space where the World Trade Center once stood and where a kind of frenzied, reverent construction process is now the order of the ...
...across the street--is another Manhattan anomaly, St. Paul's Chapel. As one of the few remaining colonial structures in Lower Manhattan, it is the area's oldest continuously used public building, not to mention its only remaining colonial church, St. Paul's is an exceedingly rare reminder that this corner of Manhattan Island was once regarded as a rural retreat. Built between 1764 and 1766, its original Anglican parishioners were farmers located on ... Read review

Its a Moviestar!
Review of Grand Central Station, New York by MILLSY99

Advantages: Antique Decor, The people, Shops
Disadvantages: Can get very busy

I walked through Grand Central quite a few times on my visit to NYC, what a place, busy at all times of the day, the ending of one of my favourite movies is filmed here, Carlito\'s Way along with Superman and many many more. The place is just so antique, I don,t think it ll have changed much the next time I go, the first time you walk your ll be in awe of the marble thats all around, I wish I could click my fingers and go there right now! The Roosevelt ...
...station its full name, "The Grand Central Oyster bar & Restaurant" which first opened its doors way back in 1913, there are many choices on the menu ranging from raw seafood, lobster to oyster stews, also there are many beers from around the world on tap and bottled to cater for everybodys needs. If you do not fancy any seafood or are just passing through, there are various fast food outlets spread about the low levels of the station. So if your ... Read review

Come and meet those dancing feet...
Review of 42nd Street Musical Theatre Production by bubblegum_princess

Advantages: Upbeat, feelgood viewing
Disadvantages: Not the most original story

...had never even heard of 42nd Street, but when I started university this time last year I joined a society which was staging a production of it. In my audition I was asked if I knew the show at all and my (incredibly stupid) answer to this was “No, but I know a song called 42nd Street” which I proceeded to sing, only to be informed (rather snidely) that it was actually from the show. Yes, this is the true extent of my idiocy! Anyway, ...
...as the best lines. 42nd Street began life as a novel before being made into a film in 1933. It was only in 1980, when it was brought to Broadway by David Merrick- a director trying to make his Broadway comeback (hmm… sound familiar?)- that it was adapted for the stage. Combining songs by Al Dubin and Harry Warren (responsible for classics such as ‘Jeepers Creepers’, ‘That’s Amore’ and ‘I only have eyes for ... Read review

Against the Flow on Wall Street
Review of Wall Street, New York by Singer

Advantages: The Center of the financial world- very obviously
Disadvantages: not much is open in the evenings or weekends

...which is very close to Wall Street. I worked in Jersey City, which is just over the river from the financial district of New York. In order to get there, I had to walk to the (now sadly defunct) World Trade Centre and take the "Path" train. I would leave at approximately 8 o'clock in the morning and every morning my walk to the World Trade Center was quite an experience. Walking toward me were thousands, if not tens of thousands of well-dressed women ...
...So aside from this, Wall Street really isn't a tourist attraction. This isn't even considered part of "Ground Zero" after the 9/11 tragedy. When coming back to my apartment after work, it was fine returning to the Wall Street area as long as I didn't need to buy anything. This area is DEAD after 5 o'clock and all you can do is observe those majestic financial edifices in repose. And of course, during the weekend there was no temptation to stick ... Read review

The reason-I LOVE NY!
Review of Adirondack Park by signals

Advantages: Scenic and rustic mix with modern and touristy!
Disadvantages: Can get cold, and bring mosquito repelent!

The Adirondacks, otherwise known as Adirondack Park, encompass an area of 6 Million acres of private and public land. They are mountains that seem more domed and rounded than the pointy peaks of the Rockies and Appalacians. These mountains, lakes, rivers, all are of glacier origin. It seems most geological settings of New York State are originated from glaciers. There is a glacier lake near me that is rather small, but is very deep in spots. The ...
...you can go within the Adirondack Park. Great tourist spots are Saranac Lake and Old Forge. Ther is also Tupper Lake, Cranberry Lake, and if you check the links below, you'll find other great places. Old Forge has a Theme Park called Enchanted Forest that at one time was simple rides. Now it's main theme is it's Water Safari! Paul Bunyon(a giant logger) is still at the entrance. It's safe to say that EVERYTHING IS EXPENSIVE IN THE ADIRONDACKS. Mine ... Read review
