Every "Sex and the City" fan understands the significance of this great city to the controversial and much loved TV series. Would "Sex and the City" be what it was if the city was not NYC? I don't think so. Therefore, when on a short visit to NYC in October 2007, I couldn't resist taking part in the Sex and the City tour.

I bought my tickets through Zerve ticketing at www.screentours.com and paid just $37 per person- a great price for what you get to see and experience. The tours are all guided by SATC experts who are New Yorkers and we had the great pleasure of having Emily as our tour guide; Emily had starred as an extra in the new "Sex and the City" movie the previous week!

We met near Central Park at a scene from the series (see if you can guess which scene- I didn't!) and got on to the air-conditioned, relatively new bus. The tour took us through the streets of Manhattan and we were guided by a combination of the lovely Emily and scenes from the series on the bus' mini TV screens. We stopped several times, so this was a very interactive tour, and got off the bus to spend some time, engage in SATC activites and take pictures at some of the shows hot spots, including a photo op on Carrie's front stoop, cosmos at Steve's bar and cup cakes from Magnolia Bakery.

Seeing the places where Carrie, Samantha, Miranda and Charlotte gossiped, shared secrets and fell in and out of love was amazing for a hard-core fan like myself. Sharing the tour with a bunch of equally obsessed fans (many who were dressed in the fashion style of their favourite character!) was fantastic too. I would highly recommend this tour to SATCfans. It has brought a whole new aspect to reruns of the show now that I've been there myself.
