For anyone who visits NYC, most often a common question is whether they should visit the Empire State Building. The answer, friends is most emphatically - YES!
The Empire State Building is located in midtown Manhattan on 34th street. This means it is basically in the middle of Manhattan with Central Park and Times Square to the north, and the financial district and lower Manhattan to the South. This location gives the Empire State Building an advantage. From the observation deck you can see all angles of NYC from probably one of the best locations in Manhattan. Instead of being down on the tip of Manhattan looking "up" at the entire city, from the Empire State Building you are in the middle of all the action.

The queues can be really long during some parts of the day. This is normal from any major tourist attraction so expect to wait. You might be able to avoid some of the queueing if you go when it first opens or as it is closing. I would suggest going a couple times if you are really into the views of the city. You can see more during the day, but the view of NYC at night is unbelievable.

The cost isn't expensive. If you have a family then it might get a little costly, but for the average family the price isn't too bad.

If you're going to NYC, definitly visit the Empire State Building. It is well worth the money to see this magnificant view of the big apple.
