...the sub-plot that is really brought to life in Act 2 by Bobby C (Adrian Smith) we get to get a taste of 70’s New York. There is very little wrong with this show. From the first chords of the Overture you are suddenly transported into the 70’s and although there is some dodgy scenery, you can’t help but enjoy the show, enjoy the disco and enjoy the music. If your looking for an outing with the family, with older children, teenagers (as a 3 hour long musical would likely bore a 6 year old) then this is the place to go. ...year old cousin to see Beauty and the Beast the Musical at the Palace Theatre in Manchester. The show started off with a musical ensemble and with two actors on stage, one as the prince and the other as the haggered person with the rose. Very dramatic start as the haggered person' outfit is stripped to display the beauty ejected into the air with lots and lots of bright lights of a "firework display". The show itself is based on the Disney film ...
...were rather bored with show by about 40 minutes into the musical as sometimes some of the scenes were limited to 2 actors and very little activity. Some of the scenes were very funny when Lefou got in the way and being hit over by the Young Prince. They thought that this was very funny. Fantastic background muriels. Very colourful show but judging by my girls' boredom and some other kids that were around the stall, a lot of chit chat unfortunately ... Read review

the lion king was excellent, i took my girlfriend as she loves musicals etc. we had an excellent seat which i got threw a friend, for people going to new york you will have to book this well in advance as tickets are like gold dust. good for people of all ages, helps to have seen the film so u can sing the songs lol. great for kids as all the children sat around us wer in aw of the costumes and the funny caracters. this is a good show for people ...
