The Hilton Times Square has two entrances, one on 42nd Street and one on 41st street. When giving directions to your cab driver make sure you give them the 41st street entrance as this is quieter and you have time to get out of the cab without being run over by NYC drivers. The doormen and bellboys are friendly and the bellboys take you up to the hotel reception on the 21st floor via a fast lift. We never waited more than 10-15 seconds for a lift. When we got to our room I was surprised at how big it was as friends had warned me New York hotel rooms were nothing to write home about but this was spacious, clean, tastfully decorated and had an amazing view. nice place to stay Advantages: nice and quiet Disadvantages: meals are expensive me and the wife stayed at this hotel in 2007 and we loved it. hotel was in good area. coming out the hotel and then turning left and down to the bottom of the road and you where at central park. also on that road few blocks down and you where at museum of natural history, which is a must to see. in the area was plenty of shops and things to eat. on the corner was a citi bank and then across the road from that was starbucks coffee and resturants. ... ...park and not long we where at the bottom near trump hotel and the apple store. hotel rooms where clean and very comfortable and we had great view of the city. we found food in the hotel to be expensive and not much choice and you where just better going out for breakfast - lunch or dinner and there was places nearby. if you needed a drink or small snack, most floors had there own vending machines with cold drinks and sweets. we flew into newark ... chrisscott94 19.01.2009 · Read full review Ciao members have rated this review on average: helpful Review of Excelsior Hotel, New York City
The Best Place to stay in New York Advantages: Value for money, quality of accommodation, breakfast included, location Disadvantages: NONE ...In fact, it could easily take longer if you were staying in a more central location as you'd have to fight your way through crowded streets! I would definately return to the Embassy Suites should I find myself back in New York. I have nothing but praise for it. ... A great hotel in a great location Advantages: Big Rooms, Frendly staff Disadvantages: Resturant food not to my taste - mum LOVED their beef burger though!! I have stayed at this hotel 2 times in a couple of years, and I have to say that I have thoroughly enjoyed it both times. The rooms are of a great size, and are of a really high standard. The room facilities are great, safe, tv, bathroom, soaps etc, tea facilities, free morning newspapers! The hotel staff are ever-so friendly, always saying hello and happy to help. Hotel shop supplies anything you may need, newspapers, magazines, headache tablets, ... ...and also a theatre.. Just at the end of both sides of the street are Broadway and Times Square.. Lots of shops!! Can be out for hours wandering and spending! Great fun!! =D!! Lots of resturants near by also.. This hotel has a great store opposite that sells food ->from drinks, crisps, fruit, pasteries and hot food... They make the BEST turkey roll ever!! Great Experience in Soho Advantages: Price, friendly staff, free breakfast Disadvantages: Location for some people maybe The price of this hotel via Expedia drew me to it but I am SO glad I booked. From the moment you're greeted by the efficient and friendly staff you feel like you've made the right choice. We were greeted daily by the staff and often returned "home" to be offered lemonade or freshly baked cookies. The rooms are modern, clean and with very good facilities. The location, depending on your point of view, was amazing. The surreounding streets are a little ... ...in Soho but it is literally just over the road. A quick walk takes you to the excellent Soho shopping and Tribeca restaurants and also the slightly grittier area of ChinaTown was also minutes away. Subways are close by so it's easy to get to anywhere in the city. Restaurants nearby are amazing... Bubby's, Nobu, Odeon, The Harrison to name a few.
