We stayed here in Feb 2008 after booking through an online travel company. We booked our flights with another online company. We were very happy with this mid-range hotel. It has an impressive exterior but we were slightly disappointed with the room sizes and the staff were not overly friendly - constant tipping required in return for information! ...difficult choice. We chose The Wellington Hotel. I thought it was the right decision when I booked it and as soon as I saw the hotel I knew I had made the right decision. The outside of the hotel looks impressive and you can see the lights from Times Square which is really cosy and inviting. Advantages: location - next to times square
Disadvantages: bar prices and atmosphere

...this place. Having stayed at the Renaissance right on times square on my previous visit, we wanted somewhere similar location but not $500 a night. Found the Time. We travelled in February when the room rate was $229 a night. Bargain with the exchange rate. The hotel is on West 49th street, in between broadway and 8th Avenue. Everything you could possibly need is nearby. Turn right out the hotel and you are in times square, left takes you to 8th ...
...and were on 15th Floor. The room itself was comfy - great bed, big plasma tv, fridge/mini bar, air con, desk for business facilities. My only criticism on the room would be the lack of storage - no drawers, so we lived out of our suitcases. All the rooms have bells which can be turned off by flicking on the do not disturb sign on the door - very quirky! ...twice winter and summer , hilton hotel was in summer for four days i took my my 14 year old girl with me, she was so impreesed with hotel lobby she wanted to stay all day in lobby people watching ,ifelt like million dollers did not matter my clothes at lower end of market the whole decor of place like palace; never seen a bed as big as this ;four phones in room and 1 in toilet mind you it was very formal room big bed large desk with green leather ...
