  Life at the Grand Hyatt isnt always that Grand

Advantages: Excellent food, good facilities & comfortable beds
Disadvantages: Unfriendly staff, Take forever to clear the room service away & Prices

PRICE We booked our holiday with Virgin which included the flights, transfers and hotel so I cannot give a complete accurate guide to price but I would say from looking at their website and the amount we paid its safe to say its about £130 a night for two on a weekend and about £90 a night on a weeknight for two. Being next door to Grand Central Station had its perks for us to though because if was raining really bad you could get to anywere in the city even just a couple of blocks up you could get the tube for $2 which is amazing value for money. ...In fact, it could easily take longer if you were staying in a more central location as you'd have to fight your way through crowded streets! I would definately return to the Embassy Suites should I find myself back in New York. I have nothing but praise for it. ...

Time out in New York

Advantages: In the heart of the Theatre District

When giving directions to your cab driver make sure you give them the 41st street entrance as this is quieter and you have time to get out of the cab without being run over by NYC drivers. A great hotel in a great location

Advantages: Big Rooms, Frendly staff
Disadvantages: Resturant food not to my taste - mum LOVED their beef burger though!!

I have stayed at this hotel 2 times in a couple of years, and I have to say that I have thoroughly enjoyed it both times. The rooms are of a great size, and are of a really high standard. The room facilities are great, safe, tv, bathroom, soaps etc, tea facilities, free morning newspapers! The hotel staff are ever-so friendly, always saying hello and happy to help. Hotel shop supplies anything you may need, newspapers, magazines, headache tablets, ...
...and also a theatre.. Just at the end of both sides of the street are Broadway and Times Square.. Lots of shops!! Can be out for hours wandering and spending! Great fun!! =D!! Lots of resturants near by also.. This hotel has a great store opposite that sells food ->from drinks, crisps, fruit, pasteries and hot food... They make the BEST turkey roll ever!! (simple - roll, butter and turkey - they put LOTS of it on!! cut it and wrap it - it's GREAT!! ...

Great Experience in Soho

Disadvantages: Location for some people maybe

The price of this hotel via Expedia drew me to it but I am SO glad I booked. From the moment you're greeted by the efficient and friendly staff you feel like you've made the right choice. We were greeted daily by the staff and often returned "home" to be offered lemonade or freshly baked cookies. The rooms are modern, clean and with very good facilities. ...in Soho but it is literally just over the road. A quick walk takes you to the excellent Soho shopping and Tribeca restaurants and also the slightly grittier area of ChinaTown was also minutes away. Subways are close by so it's easy to get to anywhere in the city. Restaurants nearby are amazing... Bubby's, Nobu, Odeon, The Harrison to name a few. We spent 10 days here and the room was easily big enough and comfortable enough for that period of time. ...
