Great location - Good value for money
Review of Metro Hotel, New York City by cjenni

Advantages: Central location and free breakfast
Disadvantages: Rooms fairly small

We stayed at this hotel in June 2006. We were allocated a room on a high floor (10th), as requested, with a view out to the street. Room was fairly small (typical for a city centre) but clean and comfortable, having been recently refurbished. The rooftop terrace/bar is a bonus during the summer - a peaceful escape from the city and the view of the Empire State building adds to its attraction The included breakfast is excellent and tea, coffee, ... Negative Yet True Review
Review of Hotel Thirty-Thirty, New York City by Tuliptree

Advantages: Pressurized shower
Disadvantages: Service, Unfriendly staff, Unclean

...go through. I expect standard service at a three star hotel, however this location was far from adequate. The only positive aspects about this hotel was the high pressured showers and the location from the shopping district. I would recommend staying at a Days Inn rather than at Hotel Thirty-Thirty ... Pretty decent budget hotel in the Big Apple
Review of Herald Square, New York City by MarcoG

Advantages: Good price, good location
Disadvantages: Bad shower, stuffy room

...GRAND TOTAL FOR THE HERALD SQUARE HOTEL: 7/10 (52/70 to be exact) I'm giving 3 stars, due to the small but irritating problems we had as explained above. If I was to stay again, I trust I would be able to give it 4 stars. Would I stay the again?: When we stayed at the Herald, it was going through a series of renovations. Which meant that we could hear workmen too-ing and fro-ing outside our door and as we left each morning. They left ...
...which weren't appreciated, but weren't too much of a hindrance either, if I'm honest. It's also worth mentioning that the hotel as a strict no smoking policy throughout. But would I go back? You know what? I think I would. I've stayed in better, cheaper and closer (to Times Square) hotels before in New York, so if these were unavailable, I would check this one out again. The street area looks a bit scabby and daunting, but we never had any reason ... Read review

Do Not Stay Here
Review of Milford Plaza Hotel, New York City by RLH77075

Advantages: Near Times Square
Disadvantages: Hotel is Pathetic

...conference who was in the Milford said that they had some problem or another with their rooms. I don't know if the hotel is salvageable. The amount of rennovation it would take to make these rooms worth staying in is probably greater than the cost to demolish and rebuild. On the positive side, the hotel staff was very pleasant. But then they probably feel guilty each time they check somebody in. If this hotel were the only option I had to stay during ... Read review

Review of Belleclaire Hotel, New York City by mark_s0

Advantages: Excellent rooms, friendly staff, transportation links, facilities near by.
Disadvantages: Lifts can only fit 2/3 people with suitcases in.

...near to the city and that has good transportation links. We are hoping to go back to NYC next year and we would definately go back to the Belleclaire. Hopefully this review has been helpful for anyone looking to stay at the Belleclaire or is just going to NYC. ... Read review
