We had expected something quite shabby as it was a last minute deal through expedia.co.uk whilst sitting in Manchester Airport waiting for our flight to arrive. (Talk about last minute). The hotel can arrange airport transfers in the form of a limousine service, they cover JFK Airport, LaGuardia Airport, Newark and LGA. The cars range from a comfortable 4 seater limousine ... ...at a price, it ranges from $65.00 to $110.00 (£35.00/40.00 to £60.00/70.00) not too expensive they will display your name on a board, taking the hassle out of waiting for taxi's. We arrived quite late at night, the Lobby was immaculately clean, staff were well presented and very helpful. We were showed up to our room and left to settle in. Affinia Dumont - Loved every minute Advantages: Location, price, staff Disadvantages: That I can't visit it as often as I would like ...We did walk to Times Square on our final day which took about 10-15 mins. All in all we had a fab time in NY city and loved the hotel. Give it a try, you might like it! Advantages: Price, location, cleanliness Disadvantages: Outdated decor and furniture We stayed here for one night in April 2007 during a flying visit to NYC. It was a last minute arrangement and we booked through lastminute.com. This hotel had an excellent location. We easily walked to Times Square, Chrysler Building, Bloomingdales etc.. We also walked to China Town, although this was a bit more of a trek. The hotel was very close to an excellent steak house called The Capital Grille - which i would recommend 100% - superbe place ... ...excellent, sincere and helpful - I say sincere as this is something i found lacking in most sales people in New York. We had a suite, which had excellent space. 2 queen size beds. As a couple on holiday, we'd normally find this odd, but actually walking around NYC was exhausting, so a comfy bed each was lovely. I have to be honest, the room's furniture and decor needed updating, the sofa had a hole in it, the curtains were a bit shabby. Paramount! Best hotel in NY for location Advantages: Location and style Disadvantages: Shower wasnt great ...with the staff at the Paramount, as we did not eat there and only spoke to them upon checking in and out! But from those two experiences I would they say they were perfectly helpful, nothing for me to complain about! Overall I would recommend a stay here and I think this is the perfect hotel for sightseeing and shopping (more of the latter in my case!) as you don’t have to travel far from the hotel to be by all the main shops and restaurants which ... ...more! Thanks for reading! Booking (I have added this in as requested from a Ciao user) I flew with Virgin Atlantic, and went through last minute.com. I think (the trip was a birthday present) it cost aorund £1000. But that included tickets to Broadway. wonderful warwick Advantages: location Disadvantages: price ...distance from jfk airport so the taxi was very expensive. the location is superb only a few blocks down from the wonderful central park, there are loads of restaurants to choose from all within a 2 minute walk. the lobby is tiny but check in was very quick and painless. the room was small for american standards but was very clean and stylish,the bathroom was exceptional with a marble floor and marble sink. room had internet conection,cable tv,playstation,mini ... ...the bar was also good but seemed to close up quite early. the room had no view but not to sure if any room had. the hotel price was expensive but was worth every penny. overall the experience of stopping at the warwick was fantastic. found out later that the hotel was home to many stars over the years including elvis presley,the beatles,and cary grant. ... angieluvslycee 27.06.2007 · Read full review Ciao members have rated this review on average: somewhat helpful Review of The Warwick, New York City
