Advantages: easy to get to, on main hotel/recreation strip into the city
Disadvantages: dated, noisy

My wife and I stayed here for 1 night in early September 2006. The place is easy to find, on the busy main hotel/motel/restaurant strip on the outskirts of the city. The hotel has the appearance and feel of a motel from the moment you drive in, from the reception area to the rooms. there is plenty of parking and we found no problems getting our car right outside our room. ...hairdryer, coffee maker etc, however everything looked a bit old and tired. I was concerned about security, as the doors and locks did not appear too substantial, and being round the back of the premises with the door leading directly on to the car park, I felt a little uneasy. Compact, Grubby, Terrible Service-Good Location!

NOW CALLED - Regency Inn and Suites, NY I wish i had read the reviews for this hotel before booking the Regency Inn and Suites in NY! Booking through STA Travel in the UK, this hotel had a 2.5 star rating. No where near 2.5 stars! Great Experience in Soho

Advantages: Price, friendly staff, free breakfast
Disadvantages: Location for some people maybe

The price of this hotel via Expedia drew me to it but I am SO glad I booked. From the moment you're greeted by the efficient and friendly staff you feel like you've made the right choice. We were greeted daily by the staff and often returned "home" to be offered lemonade or freshly baked cookies. The rooms are modern, clean and with very good facilities. A quick walk takes you to the excellent Soho shopping and Tribeca restaurants and also the slightly grittier area of ChinaTown was also minutes away. Not worth the 4 stars rating

Advantages: Great location, better than a days inn.....
Disadvantages: Not MUCH better than a days inn....... not very clean, so-so service.....

A palatial palace.

Advantages: Large rooms by NY standards, good service, quality furnishings.
Disadvantages: Expensive.
