Wellington Hotel : Adequate but not great

Advantages: Location, food available downstairs
Disadvantages: Room was small and needed updating

I stayed at the Wellington hotel on my second trip to New York, and the decision was based on a recommendation from the Travel Agent. There were a few people in reception when we arrived and it took about half an hour to be checked in. We had booked one double room and one twin room for our party but were told that there was no twin rooms available so we would have to have a double with a foldaway bed, which someone would bring to the room. Location, Location, Location

Advantages: Great Location and Price
Disadvantages: Needed modernising (and now has been)

Edison hotel New York

Advantages: Rooms are spacious, clean, fresh and everyone is so friendly.
Disadvantages: No disadvantges, loved this place.

I visited this hotel with my school in February 2007 and there was a group of 40 with 5 teachers. The group included boys and girls, there were very welcoming when we arrived after a long flight from England and getting up a 4.30. They allowed us up to our rooms, which where very spacious and comfortable. They had big double beds, which could have easily have fitted three people in. nice place to stay

Advantages: nice and quiet
Disadvantages: meals are expensive

me and the wife stayed at this hotel in 2007 and we loved it. hotel was in good area. coming out the hotel and then turning left and down to the bottom of the road and you where at central park. also on that road few blocks down and you where at museum of natural history, which is a must to see. in the area was plenty of shops and things to eat. on the corner was a citi bank and then across the road from that was starbucks coffee and resturants. ...

Advantages: Good Prices, Lovely Staff, Good Location

I have stayed at this hotel twice and have just returned from my latest stay. --Cost-- The cost is generally alot lower than other hotels which are in Manhattan. We just paid £500 for a 5 night stay there in a room with 2 double beds for 4 people. --Location-- The hotel is situated on Queens Blvd in Queens. This is around 20/30 mins ride from JFK and around 30 mins into Manhattan. There are quite a few shops and restaurants close to the hotel ...
...15 minute walk on the same road is Queens Mall where there are loads of shops including a Macys and JC Penneys. The subway station is around a 10 minute walk in the same direction.
