...from 4 nights in The Wellington Hotel. We booked it back in Jan'07 thru an online hotel booking site (I may have mentioned it in other reviews) We also booked flights directly with BA thru their website. We had stayed in NewYork about 2 years ago in a YMCA in the upper westside. However as my oldies were coming with us we had to book a hotel. Disadvantages: Very old and dirty rooms

Worst hotel ive ever stayed in and i have travelled the world. unfriendly staff rude, no manners and the dirtiest smelly rooms. The first room wasnt fit to house an animal and the 2nd 3rd 4th to 5th didnt get much better. the duty manager didnt have anything to say he just gave us another room to look at, he didnt seem to care, im not surprissed since hearing that they intend pulling this hotel down next year. my sister an myself and 5 friends stayed ... Disadvantages: 24 Hour coffee bar was actually a vending machine!!

...at in New York, The Radisson Lexington. ++++++++++Booking++++++++++ I booked our stay through Expedia www.expedia.co.uk and was paid upfront, I managed to get the hotel for an average rate of £82.22 per night for Christmas eve and Day, this went up to £123.59 for the 26th December, on top of the room rate there is also the tax and charges which were £17.55 per night. Disadvantages: Outdated decor and furniture

We stayed here for one night in April 2007 during a flying visit to NYC. It was a last minute arrangement and we booked through lastminute.com. This hotel had an excellent location. We easily walked to Times Square, Chrysler Building, Bloomingdales etc.. We also walked to China Town, although this was a bit more of a trek. The hotel was very close to an excellent steak house called The Capital Grille - which i would recommend 100% - superbe place ...
...excellent, sincere and helpful - I say sincere as this is something i found lacking in most sales people in New York. We had a suite, which had excellent space. 2 queen size beds. As a couple on holiday, we'd normally find this odd, but actually walking around NYC was exhausting, so a comfy bed each was lovely.
