The Wellington Hotel
Review of Wellington Hotel, New York City by
ged1967
Advantages: Location, freindly helpful staff
Disadvantages: bit tired/dated
...from 4 nights in The Wellington Hotel. We booked it back in Jan'07 thru an online hotel booking site (I may have mentioned it in other reviews) We also booked flights directly with BA thru their website. We had stayed in NewYork about 2 years ago in a YMCA in the upper westside. However as my oldies were coming with us we had to book a hotel.
We booked a suite at The Wellington for around £780 for 4 adults for 4 nights and the BA flights from ABZ ... ...cinnamon do-nuts are to die for and they keep you going till lunchtime or beyond! Would we stay at The Wellington Hotel again? Yes without question.
I will be reviewing other aspects of our trip in time, such as Gordon Ramseys new restaurant. Maze at The London. ...

Disadvantages: None at all To Be Honest.
The Edison Hotel, New York City:
Built in 1931 This glorious hotel is located at 228 West 47th Street. Here I will write up a short review upon my experience in the hotel last year.
Location:
as previously mentioned situated in one of the most dynamic sections of New York City 228 West 47th Street, Directly in the middle of New York which means little walking distance to wherever you may want to venture.
Rooms:

Anyway we had two people per room, a king sized bed each, a mini fridge which was stocked up 2 times a day, lovely carpeted floors, TV (Full channel), Chairs, Lamps, Pictures, and best of all a laptop and access to the internet (Provided by reception for little cost) - a few dollars. Review of Best Western President Hotel, New York City by
mummy2harry
Advantages: Cheap, right by Times Square, friendly staff
Disadvantages: Rooms may be too small for some fussy travellers!
...then tried to find the best one out of a huge list I made. I didn't want to pay a lot for the hotel because I knew we wouldn't be in it much, and when I saw the Best Western name, I thought it would be a good idea to stick with what I know! So I booked 4 nights in this hotel in December 2005, my second trip to the fantastic NYC.
We easily got a transfer from the airport, and gave the driver the address which I had printed out before we left the ... ...in a better location, and best of all, if you forget the hotels address when you get in a taxi, just asked to be dropped off in Times Square, and you are all but there!

A great hotel in a great location
Review of Millennium Hotel Broadway, New York City by
diddy1
Advantages: Big Rooms, Frendly staff
Disadvantages: Resturant food not to my taste - mum LOVED their beef burger though!!
I have stayed at this hotel 2 times in a couple of years, and I have to say that I have thoroughly enjoyed it both times. The rooms are of a great size, and are of a really high standard.
The room facilities are great, safe, tv, bathroom, soaps etc, tea facilities, free morning newspapers!
The hotel staff are ever-so friendly, always saying hello and happy to help. Hotel shop supplies anything you may need, newspapers, magazines, headache tablets, ... ...and also a theatre..
Just at the end of both sides of the street are Broadway and Times Square.. Lots of shops!! Can be out for hours wandering and spending! Great fun!! =D!!
Lots of resturants near by also..
This hotel has a great store opposite that sells food ->from drinks, crisps, fruit, pasteries and hot food... They make the BEST turkey roll ever!! (simple - roll, butter and turkey - they put LOTS of it on!! cut it and wrap it - it's GREAT!! ...
