Stayed here for a weekend and was very pleasantly suprised. I have stayed in Marriott hotels befor and have always found them pretty run of the mill. This hotel is no different in the view of rooms or facilities but it was the little things that made the difference. The hotel was immaculate when we stayed no dirt or litter anywhere. The staff were all very pleasant and attentive (especially the concierge who knew a lot of bars and restaruants off the beaten track and a lot less "touristy" for those looking for a true New York experience). The positioning of the hotel was great as well, easily within walking distance to a lot of the attractions (although the doormen will hail you a cab no trouble at all). If your going to New York for a weekend and need a central base that is friendly and reasonably priced then I would recommend checking the marriott out.
