We'd booked this through a "discount" website and for the price we paid, expected an average service, but no - they impressed us. But then that might be something to do with the free upgrade to a penthouse apartment room.
So obviously the facilities were fantastic - but we sneaked a peek in the "normal" rooms and there was little difference. All the modern necessities - safe, iron, fridge, TV etc.
We decided to be "posh" and splash out on room service for breakfast one morning - and although the food, like the restuarants in the hotel, was fantastic, they were a little slow.
The pool, spa and beauty facilities were pleasant. The casino had a nice atmosphere - busy, but not too busy with friendly staff. There's a fun games area too if you want to play arcade games etc. The clincher for us though was the Manhattan Express - a rollercoaster ride built in the hotel complex! Fab - but defo not for the light hearted!
As the name suggests the hotel is themed around New York - there's mock skyscrapers, a replica of the Statue of Liberty and of the Brooklyn Bridge. So you can cheat and say you went to New York too - well - it's worth a try! Sports fans can use the ESPN sport zone, whilst those with a life (kidding!) can instead sample the cuisine - Chinese, Italian or American! Honest prices, good food! Staff could be a bit more friendly - but were pleasant enough.
Although at the top end of the strip, the hotel was opposite MGM Grand and you can either walk to the nearby casinos or hop on a shuttle bus that runs from hotel/casino to hotel/casino. We opted for the walk - well we were there to see the sights! A tip - make sure you go up the mock Eiffel tower at the nearby Paris casino at night and watch the water show below - it's magnificant. And oh - you can see the rest of the strip lit up!
In terms of price - roughly worked out to about £45-50 per night. Overall - well worth it!
[Thanks to all for the feedback - hopefully more details in the review now :o) - anything else you want to know, let me know]

As with Badger_Boys comment as I went with him, New York New York looks fabulous from the outside, the Manhatten skyline, the rollercaoster, Brooklyn Bridge all of which you haven't mentioned, the Statue of Liberty replica being the main attraction to the hotel..... If you add more information please let me know and I will come back and re-read/rate :o)
