New York New York Hotel is simply amazing to look at. I think one of the best Interiors and Exteriors of all the Hotels I Visited. The inside almost feels like the outside. Located on the South part of the Strip, it is opposite the MGM Grand, and is very close to he Airport.
Check-in was quick. The Casino is a nice size, but probably too small if you are there to Gamble. Good selection of Slot machines and video machines, with prices starting from 1cent. A good selection of gaming tables, including Roulette and Black Jack, but never played these. Staff are friendly and often come around asking if you want drinks.
Rooms are very comfy and have most of the facilities you would expect. Iron & Board, TV, Safe. No kettle or Tea making facilities, but you do get an Ice Bucket. Room size is average. I stayed in a Family room which is about 10 feet longer than a single/double room. Family room had Queen size beds, single/double rooms have King size beds. International Phone calls are very expensive, won't be doing that again. Beds were very comfy, could have done with more pillows (didn't bother asking). Room rates about £50 a Night, for Standard room. Decor was very nice. Every Tower has a different themed decor, so you know where you are. All staff said hello when passing, even the cleaners were very friendly.
American restaurant was very poor service, O.K at topping up coffee, but slow with food, which was cold when arrived. Chinese Breakfast Buffet was excellent, great choice of normal breakfast plus a chinese twist on some of the favourites. Italian Restaurant was excellent, lovely food, good service and great wine. Nice selection of Take Away places, from Burgers to Ice Cream. (Try the Chilli Fries, YUM!) The Bars seemed very entertaining from the outside, although I didn't actually visit. You could hear the Dueling Pianos at Times Square Bar from the other side of the Casino, so is quite load. Restaurant prices range from $9 for breakfast to $40 for a Main meal at The Italian Restaurant. Take Away prices were quite resonable, about $9 for a chinese Sweet & Sour dish. Good portion sizes. There is also a good selection of shops inside the Hotel. The Harley Davidson is great if you are a keen Biker. Shop prices are quite high, $20 for a Baseball cap. Better going to the tourist shops on the Strip, $10 for same item.
Manhatten Express Rollercoaster was I suppose worth a go, but came off with sore shoulders. $12.50 a ride. But you can't hear the ride from the Hotel rooms. Pool area was quite small, but it never got that busy so didn't need to be bigger. Free towel service. Quite noisy as it is next to a road, although you can't see it. We went in October which was a bit cooler. Probably gets busier in the summer months. The Zumanity Show was on at the Theatre in Hotel, although I never saw it, was supposed to be good, as are the other Cirque de Soleil Shows. My parent saw the KA show at MGM, $120 each. But thought it was worth it. You can get 1/2 price Tickets, if you know where to look.
Great access to other Hotels via the walkways over the road. Bus rides are $5 all day or $2 per trip. You can go all the way to the Stratosphere on the same bus. Need transfers to get to Freemont Street & Downtown. Would go to Vegas again, but when my children are older, as there is not much for small children to do. Endless Helicopters overhead. You get used to the noise. Must do the Tour over Grand Canyon.
Overall, overwhelming at first. Each Hotel takes about 5 minutes to walk past. The Strip seems endless, so take the bus, but only if you are not in a hurry. Some Restaurant prices were expensive for Children, especially if they don't eat much. New York New York is well worth the visit though.
Let me know if you need other info. I will try to help. I am not a Hotel critic, so these are my personal opinions. Can't compare with other Hotels in area.

Thanks for letting me know about the edit of your review, it's looking a lot better, in particular now that you have put paragraphs in. While there's still a lot more that could be said about the hotel - I'm a big Las Vegas fan - it's a good effort and gives a general idea. I have changed my rating from SH to helpful as it reads so much better.

I'm sorry for the low rating but I had terrible trouble justifying a higher rating. Your review is written in bullet points and I find this very distracting, you mention some information about the hotel and its surrounding but you also concentrate a lot on other things around Las Vegas and the hotel review suffers. In a hotel review I would like to read more about the location of the hotel, check in times, price (can be looked up online to give a general idea) size of room (compared to UK rooms or other hotels you visited), casino (what you can play - poker, roulette, slots), what else does the hotel offer (bars, restaurants, theatre, rollercoaster, shops...) If you decide to edit and add more information let me know in my guestbook and I have another look.
