...I think that new york is a wonderful place to be it has so much to offer, and it is so cheap compared to this country and the equvalent things in London.
It is so clean compared to the streets here,I want to live in New York one day,the fast food places though are always very busy and hectic, unlike here, but they are plenty around. The shops in New York are really good, there is a big macys which offers everything then there is all the other stores and they are definately much cheaper than here!
I would recommend anyone to go there even ifjust for a shopping weekend....

Advantages: Fixed rate with a friendly driver Disadvantages: Some drivers do not speck english and have a lack of street knowledge
...Earlier this year I visited New York with my husband. We opted not to book transfers from JFK Airport, instead we thought we would take a New York cab. What an experience!
I was a little concerned as we were in a strange country and a little jet lagged, but my fears were soon put aside. We had been warned away from taxis by our tour operator. Our driver was a breath of fresh air. He was friendly and pointed out the sites as were drove into Manhatten. Like most New York cabbies he knew roughly where our was but because they do not have to undergo any formal tests his knowledge of many of the street names were lacking. I did feel safe in his well maintained car.
The best thing about this ride was the fee. To prevent tourists being ripped off there is a fixed fee form JFK to the city and that is $30.00 plus tip. It is cheaper than being...

Advantages: Everything is done in style Disadvantages: Very expensive
...If you are looking to live the high life during your stay in New York city, book in to the Waldorf Astoria hotel. The lobby has to be seen to be believed with a stunning clock and superbly furnished check in desks. They have a number of top quality restaurants ranging from their best offering, the Peacock Alley to the lively Oscar's. the rooms are spacious and well furnished. The room service and maids are of the highest quality, which you would expect paying this much for a hotel room. But it really does deserve its title as one of NewYork's most prestigious and luxurious hotels....

Postmodernism, eh? It's a funny old bag of fish. Even the holier-than-thou critics don't quite seem to know what it's all about. They argue whether it's
a) a revolt against modernism,
b) a progression of modernism,
c) both of these and more
or d) more
