New Zealand now has a small peice of my heart!
Advantages: Amazing country!1 Disadvantages: Weather unpredictable
New Zealand is such an amazing country I have truly fallen in love with it! After 6 weeks of traveling the North and the South Island I fill very happy that I covered most of what this country has to offer. I am going to give a brief over view of New Zealand as I am planning some more in depth reviews about each place. I hope this will give you an idea of how long you need in each place, the highlights and the best advice for getting around etc Traveling ... ...you, camper vans and cars are the best way as you get to create your own journey stopping along the way from place to place, just make sure you get a good guide book so you know where to go etc. I don't drive so I opted to go with magic bus Tours which is a hop on hop off bus service, Magic bus where the cheapest option and I was more than satisfied with the service they provided. Similar companies include Stray and the Kiwi Experience. How Much ...

Magical Memories with Magic Bus
Advantages: Cheap Easy to use and friendly Disadvantages: Not very comfy bus
Magical Memories with Magic Bus New Zealand is an amazing country but with so much to see and do it is hard to fit it all into 6 weeks, thankfully I discovered The Magic Bus! What is the Magic Bus?
The Magic Bus offers affordable 'Hop on Hop off' bus tickets valid for up to 12 months, the passes cover different areas of New Zealand so depending upon your length of stay you can chose the one that's best for you. Passes: Some passes cover both islands ... ...$645 NZ which is £240. Magic Bus often have offers like buy one get one free as well so it is worth checking the website when planning your trip. Compared to the other bus companies Kiwi experience and Stray Bus, they were defiantly the cheapest, I was also drawn to them as I had heard good things from other travellers. Who uses Magic? Kiwi Experience I had heard was more a party bus geared towards 18 year olds who only want to drink and play games, ...

Environmentally sound
Advantages: Beautifully conserved Disadvantages: Hard to reach
...day in New Zealand seeing Doubtful Sound, which lies about fifty miles further south. Doubtful's reputation for natural beauty does not quite match that of Milford, but the map made it clear that Doubtful is longer and more varied, with more subsidiary channels branching off it and more islands. But for me the clinching consideration was that it is much less heavily visited, being inaccessible by air or directly by road. When you have come to see ... ...navigators were less sceptical, but Doubtful Sound remained accessible only by sea until as late as 1959, and since then only by a private track. The track was laid to facilitate construction of a hydro-electric project designed to harness the power of water flowing from inland Lake Manapouri to the glacial valley that descends into Doubtful Sound.
Mention of the resultant power station may provoke an immediate sigh of despair, on the assumption ...

The ride of terror
Advantages: Even someone with bad joints can do this. Disadvantages: You have to be able to overcome your fear of heights though.
Location: Mokai Gravity Canyon, Taihape, New Zealand
The chair Cost: $110
Gravity Canyon is all that people say it is, and then some more. A place for ‘thrilling adventures of velocity and adrenaline’. The canyon is an amazing sight and of course the river should be viewed from all possible angles. Now that was where my problems started. Jealousy.I watched the exhilaration and tremendous adrenalin rush enjoyed by those leaping from the bridge, ... ...I couldn’t do that (thinking of my poor old joints!). The Flying Fox? Wow! That looked amazing… but what a climb to get to the top (the old joints problem again.) The Swing – much better for, let’s say, the mature person, surely. Except that you actually have to step out into space and… AGGH! No, think of the blood pressure. However, the chair looked perfectly innocuous. Of course I could do that. I’d seen children doing it. Couldn’t be so very challenging ...
