The owner explained that they have a lot of couples coming to stay and they quite often come back year after year, and I can understand why. Three bathrooms where available for us to use and it was so nice to go into an individual bathroom rather than shared facilities like in many of the hostels. Bay of Islands The Bay of Islands are so beautiful it was defiantly one of my favourite places in New Zealand, a lot of people don't before going up past Auckland as they are so busy to get to the South Island but I think they have sadly missed out. ...so nice. The Bay Adventurer Hostel is a must stay in the Bay of Islands, it is defiantly one of the top hostels I have stayed in my whole trip!! It has everything you could need and is also only a stones throw away from the beach! Perfect!! I stayed in a dorm room which was very clean and tidy complete with lockers to store all your valuables. Albert Park Backpackers in Auckland is a very cheap place to stay, the location is great but it was not the friendliest hostel I have stayed in. I flew in from LA which is a
