Unbelievable!
Advantages fun for everyone, beautiful scenery, lots to do and see
Disadvantages none at all!
During our recent stay in Toronto, my husband and I decided to visit Niagara Falls as we had heard so much about it. Whatever we had heard though, could never do justice to the real experience of visiting Niagara Falls. It was one of the most fantastic experiences on our round the world travels and we both highly recommend it to everyone.
We chose a local company, "Toronto Tours", as our tour guide. They were not the cheapest, but in comparison to other companies and tours, you got more for your money and they were certainly better value than others we looked at.They picked us up from our hotel promptly at 9am and immediately, Alec, our guide, made us feel relaxed and like we'd been friends for years! The bus held 20 people and by the end of the day, we were all on a first name basis and chatting away like old friends. The journey to the Falls went quickly with Alec giving us an informative and fun tour of the nearby towns and sights.
Niagara Falls itself was truly breath-taking. Words cannot do justice to the sheer power and beauty of this natural wonder. It truly does have to be seen to be believed. As part of the tour, we were given a buffet lunch at the Sheraton Hotel. The tour brochure informed us that we would have lunch over looking the Falls but I was a bit sceptical about this. I needn't have been. We really did eat a beautiful lunch, with ample food and choices, over-looking the beautiful Falls.
The tour also included a visit to Niagara-on-the-Lake, a small village on the outskirts of Niagara and on the road back to Toronto. If you ever get the chance to visit, you will not be disappointed. Niagara-on-the-Lake is a friendly, quaint town with a variety of boutiques and coffee shops, selling homemade ice-cream, local specialities and momentos of your trip. I would highly recommend the Angel Inn for a cool pint of beer after a long day of sightseeing. You are guaranteed to see a smiling face and engage in good conversation.I would highly recommend the Niagara Falls experience and if you want to do it the best way, choose "Toronto Tours". Hopefully, you'll be lucky enough to have Alec as your tour guide too.
