Nice is fantastic early morning to night

Advantages: Nice
Disadvantages: 0

I went to Nice on a business meeting. The meeting was held at Best Western Hotel. Airport transport - Nice airport is small but comfortable. Easily reached by all types of transport. I took a bus from airport to Hotel which cost around Eur4.00. Traveling back to airport I used the bus again, and their service is excellent and on time. Some information - the airport was built some years ago and its existing place was a small hill. The City - I will ...
...Angalis - the beached are nice and full of pebbles. I saw people cleaning the beaches daily, early in the morning. You will also find free showers. You will find a lot of artists along the promenade, selling modern, abstract and contemporary art pieces. After Promenade des Angalisyou will find Boscalo Park. It is a nice garden leading to the old city. The old city - It is a very nice place. The streets are narrow and you can find a lot of shops ...

Nice, the French Riviera

Advantages: Beautiful, Gorgeous, sunny, nice weather, exotic cuisine
Disadvantages: can be pricy

...They are also connected to Nice by frequent trains and buses. There are plenty of hotels and B&Bs in nice to suit every budget. If you are planning to stay longer then renting a holiday apartment may not be a bad option either. Nice is very well connected to all major European cities by flights. There are also train connections from Paris, Venice, Luxemburg or Rome. And of course you can drive down there, if you like. This is a place worth visiting, ...

A school trip to Nice

Advantages: Small and Uncommercialised
Disadvantages: Some areas are fairly run down

...months ago i went to nice on a school trip in order to improve my french for my up and coming gcse. I expected it to be all learning and really quite boring but i was to be pleasantly suprised. When i got there i was immediatly struck by the warm wheather which i was certainly not used to in february being a brit myself. when i got there i was allowed to wander around the town. The thing that hit me or at least where i was staying was the large ...
...The thing i liked about nice was that it wasent over commercialised as is often the case with many urban enviroments these days. Nice is also set in a lovely part of the world being very near to Italy and only half an hours train ride from Monaco. In conclusion if your a looking for what can be called a quiet urban enviroment with plenty of uncommercialised culture then Nice is the place for you ...

Diamond review   Nice, mon paradis!

Advantages: Short cheap flight, sun, food, scenery, nice people, city AND beach
Disadvantages: Pricey, have to risk life and limb sliding down a minor scree slope into the sea!

...down to Prague or Nice; Nice won (could it be the promise of sun and seaside?!) Plus it only cost us about £20 each more than Bath believe it or not! TRAVEL The flight was easy to book and went without a hitch although it meant an early start for the 7am plane. There is 1 flight a day from Leeds/Bradford in the season and there appear to be plenty of easyjet flights and various others from several UK airport. It only took us 2 hours so it was breakfast ...
...Menton HISTORY Nice is France's 5th largest city with about 400,000 inhabitants and is situated on the Cote d'Azur on France's south coast, about 25 miles from the Italian border. It goes back to a Greek settlement called Nikaia which was begun pre Christ, and the Romans settled there in the early centuries AD. There are 2 museums about Nice's history, the Terra Amata about the prehistoric site ( we didn't get there but it sounded interesting) and ...

Go for the shopping and nightlife, not the beach

Advantages: Shops, sun, sea...
Disadvantages: No sand

Nice is an absolutely beautiful place. I have been there three times already (1994/1998/2000)and will hopefully be going back there later this year. The type and variety of shops is astounding. In the Vieux Nice (old town) there are winding streets of small and reasonably priced shops selling everything from olive oil to sweet children's clothes made of tradtional fabrics to hand made jewellery. This can provide hours of meandering, not forgetting ...
...The nightlife in Nice is pretty good, but expensive. The Cours Saleya is the main focus us the nightlife where bars such as the Trois Diables and Zoom line the streets and don't close until the last people leave. In the Summer time they are very busy and you will meet other friendly tourists from all over the world (I met Mexicans, Italians, Danes and other British visitors). The nightlife is not so busy out of the high season. When I visited in ...
