A few months ago i went to nice on a school trip in order to improve my french for my up and coming gcse.
I expected it to be all learning and really quite boring but i was to be pleasantly suprised.
When i got there i was immediatly struck by the warm wheather which i was certainly not used to in february being a brit myself.
when i got there i was allowed to wander around the town. The thing that hit me or at least where i was staying was the large arab community there with their being many arab cafes and bars dotted around all over my part of the city at least.
The thing i liked about nice was that it wasent over commercialised as is often the case with many urban enviroments these days.
Nice is also set in a lovely part of the world being very near to Italy and only half an hours train ride from Monaco.
In conclusion if your a looking for what can be called a quiet urban enviroment with plenty of uncommercialised culture then Nice is the place for you
