Four Points by Sheraton Elysee Palace, Nice
Advantages: clean and comfortable Disadvantages: bar is expensive
We stayed at this hotel for a short easter break earlier this year. Having booked the room for three nights through a cheap last minute holiday website including flights, it turned out to be very good value for money. The hotel itself is well worth the four-star rating. The bedroom and ensuite were both spacious, well-equippped and clean. Furthermore, it was cleaned every day while we were out. The hotel staff were very helpful. I only speak a little ... ...all spoke fluent English, which was welcoming and a relief. Be warned though, as is common in the rest of Nice, the prices in the bar were very high- I paid six euros for a small pinapple juice there, which as nice as the bar is, and as good as the service was, is, I think, a little excessive. Nevertheless, a good stay, and would go there again. ...

Beware !
Advantages: Not one I can think of apart from being clean Disadvantages: You feel like you are dealing with crooks if there is a problem!
...smart looking seemingly up market hotel with a catch that people should be wary of. Maybe this catch is more common in France than I am aware?
Friends of ours came to Nice to visit us last year from Russia (we live in France). The reservation was made and on arrival a credit card was used to make the booking which was (c) €330/Night for a junior suite which is a top price for Nice in what we assumed was a top hotel by the hotel’s own promotion.
... ...impressed at all by the hotel as sea view was not really possible unless one grew a neck extension and bought binoculars.
The catch was that our friends on leaving paid their bill in full in cash yet Beau Rivage blocked the €2,000 on the credit card for 60 days depriving use of the card and sitting on an interest free facility for the hotel or their bankers?
This to my friends was akin to stealing and I was very upset as I had never experienced ...

Nice night in Nice
Advantages: Close to everything, cheap for this town Disadvantages: Poor breakfast
...isnt that great, being a holiday inn - its pretty simplistic and expensive for what you get. It is an expensive place to eat, as are most hotels.
Eating out is great in Nice, flowing tapas, pizzerias etc everywhere you look in town.
Its only a 10 minute drive from Nice International Airport .
I paid £120.00 for the night, not bad for an expensive town!
Enjoy your stay ...

The Grandeur of the Cote D'Azur
Advantages: Every advantage a hotel could have Disadvantages: none!
...day actually stay in a Hotel in Nice, France. It's not that I do not go regularly to France, quite on contrary, I just never saw anything special about this city. For me, Nice was just the airport or gateway to the world of Cannes, Antibes, Cap Ferrat, and off course, the stunning Monte Carlo. I found it much more interesting to re-discover the sandy shores of Cannes or the minimalist chic style of St Tropez, or the extravagant Moneguesque nightlife. ... ...I first discovered the Hotel Negresco in an interview by a Hollywood star (I believe it was Uma Thurman) to a fashion magazine where she declared that this Hotel was a luxurious private estate which proved itself the perfect relaxation spot post- Cannes Film Festival after parties. As soon as I remembered this interview, I searched the hotel on the internet. It seemed indeed very unique so I decided to give it a chance to impress. Located only 2.5 ...

Relax at the Radisson
Advantages: Nice hotel, friendly staff Disadvantages: Expenisve, not much storage space in room
...France. We stayed in a Radisson SAS in Amsterdam several years ago but other than remembering that it was a positive experience I don't remember a lot about it so I can't really compare the two. I was looking forward to staying in the hotel and I was pleased it was only 10-15 minutes away from the airport by taxi. My dad booked the hotel (along with the flights) online and he also booked out taxi so it was there waiting to pick us up at the airport. ... ...bed lit up in the Radisson colours. This was quite nice but it wasn't light enough to make a difference through the day and it was too bright at night to sleep with it on. This was a shame as the room was pitch black at night (due to the thick curtains) and it was difficult to find the way to the bathroom. My bed was put next to the window and although it wasn't very wide it was fairly comfortable. The pillows were not very thick so we requested ...
