For having been born in Singapore and living there for 4 years I know the place well- and their attractions. The admission prices for the night safari starts at S$10 for kids and around S$20 adults, which is a farely good price compared to the other attractions located in Singapore. I visited the night safari at around 8.00pm and it closes at midnight- plenty of time to explore and see the events planned. They provide a handy little map to help you make your way around the park, also, the staff were very helpful in guiding us. If you dont fancy walking around the safari, there is a very useful tram to take your around the park. It comes with live commentary to fully explain the animals- I found it very interesting and fun. The tour on the tram takes about 45 minutes. The night safari is probably one of the best zoo's i have been too, it provides a good selection of trails, special events and food. Personally i think the safari is well worth visiting especially for familys, it is different to the others i have been to and is a chance to learn about the animals and their nocturnal activities. Obviously, there is a souvenir shop, where you will be able to buy little presents to remeber your trip by. Though, i think there prices are a little expensive. The only thing is that they are out of the way, quite hard to get there.
I was in Singapore last year, and really enjoyed the Night Safari. Enjoyed your review too, but I feel it could benefit from a bit more detail - how to get there, etc. Duncan

Was at Singapore Zoo in the summer and the night safari is next door to it if im not mistaken? A bus took us all the way there and picked us up - definately a bit out of town but the transportation system in Singapore is excellent l found. What animals did you see? We didnt do the night safari having spent all day at the most excellent zoo - were the animals more lively? Would be really interested to know more detail as l sort of regret not doing this trip when in Singapore as all the reviews l read bought it in guide books and so on have been very positive. Advantages: Perfect for a unique cultural immersion and a wild food-attack. Excellent transport system means getting to anywhere is a breeze. Disadvantages: Hot (at least 30C everyday). Also, there is no natural scenery to speak of.
