Apartments for 4 usually consist of a double bedroom, a living room with kitchen area, dining table and chairs and 2 extra beds. There's a decent shower room, even has a shower curtain, a luxury in Greece. Each apartment will have a balcony or terrace with table chairs and an airing line for the washing. Air-conditioning and safety deposit boxes are avaiable for hire.
The gardens are lovely, but the best features are the pool and the bar area. There are plenty of sunloungers for those of you who like to sunbathe while the bar is open from breakfast time until late. It's the hub of the apartments. All the staff are very friendly but Van and Effi are the main stays of the place. The bar serves good quality snacks throughout the day while the drinks are fairly priced. It is very popular with guests and so can stay open until the early hours of the morning, but without too much noise.
A must is the Friday night BBQ, good value with free wine, everyone ends up dancing on the bar, limbo dancing and then the compulsory jump in the pool.
The apartments are an 5 minute walk to the neareast restaurants and beach (you can take an underpass as the road is the main coast road). The benefit is that they are in a very quiet position, away from all the town noise.
The beach at Stalis is lovely with plenty of loungers and watersports. There's a great selction restaurants, our favourite are 'Hellas Gardens' and 'Maria's'
Advantages: Plenty of restaurants, good bus service, but still places to find peace and quite. Disadvantages: transfer from airport due to the amount of drop offs took 1.5 hours
Me and my husband have just returned from a lovely holiday in Stalis. We stayed for 2 weeks in the Paradise apartments which is situated on the main road in Stalis. The apartments are basic and clean and are run by Katerina and her husband Nikos who are both very friendly. We have stayed there twice now and on this occasion we had an apartment at the back overlooking the mountains. Some road noise could be heard as the busy dual carriageway from Hersonnison to Agious Nicholios runs to the rear of the apartment. Temperatures end of August to mid September were in the 30s c.
There any many restaurants in Stalis and also 20 minutes walk away in Malia. Our favourite place to eat is in old Malia as it is very pretty at night especially when all the fairy lights are on around the old restaurants. We like San Georgio's and also ...
