...Today, I braved the crowds and went shopping in Oxford Street before meeting some friends for lunch. It was absolutely freezing and the shops, as I expected were very crowded. I had a very fruitful morning - Cadburys and Starbucks were handing out free samples and I managed to buy the jumpers I wanted from H & M, although a rather bizarre woman keep following me to see if I put down any of my lovely products. Therefore, when I reached Leicester Square at 1.00 pm to meet my friends, I was in a great mood and very, very hungry! After talking for about half hour in the cold attempting to decide what we actually wanted to eat and what was suitable for our student budgets, we settled on a pub lunch at The Moon Under Water, a Wetherspoon's branch. ...holidays at a Moon base in ten years time, and of interplanetary travel becoming as common place as air travel is today. Since then the impetus would appear to have gone out of manned space flight, so at the age of 49, I am beginning to accept (reluctantly) that my dream of one day gazing down at this wonderful Earth of ours from space may never actually be realised. ~ ~ So when I found myself in London in February, 2000, for the first time in many years, a visit to the famous Planetarium at Madame Tussauds was very high on my list of things to do. We went as a family, myself and my wife, and our nine year old daughter, (actually she was eight then!) and enjoyed the experience immensely. We bought the combined ticket that entitles you to visit both Madame Tussauds and the Planetarium, and in fairness it wasn’t that cheap, at a cost... Read review

...If you are looking for a very cheesy tacky club, that is not pretenious like a lot of London Clubs and a lot of disco fun then this is the place for you. Strawberry Moons is located in Heddon Street which is just off Regent Street so a great location to begin with. Before you go in there are a number of bars on the street next to it to start your night off. Entry is only £5 I believe and the dress code is smart casual which is nice. The venue is not very big. When you come in there is a small dance floor to your left with a bar there and also a bar in front of you. The clockroom and toilets are downstairs, be careful on the stairs, they are quite steep and a bit dangerous if you've had a few to drink.
