Advantages: excellent food, vegetarian choice, not too pricey, good service, lovely area Disadvantages: a hike from the city centre, it gets full very quickly!
Where to start? I just love the Number Seven! Located at 7 Faulkner Street, just off Hope Street (next to the Phil) this understated café fully deserves its listing in the good Food Guide. I went there for lunch yesterday. I had a feta salad, and it was delicious. Service is friendly, efficient and quick. The food is wonderful and the surroundings - the Canning quarter of Georgian architecture - are marvellous. It was in this street that scenes from ... ...ideal for vegetarians (like me!) with over half the menu being meat-free. It's not exactly in the city centre, but if you're up near the Phil, the Everyman, the cathedrals or the university, it's ideal. The place has all the ambience of any normal café, which you can find all over the city, but when you get your meal, you realise you're somewhere special. It's the type of place which you go back to, proud of yourself for 'discovering' it. ...

Advantages: It's HUGE Disadvantages: Queues, queues and more queues
.../action/body'. This means you get to see art of the same subject in the same room. The only problem with this is you do not get to see how art develops over the course of the centruy, maybe seeing how later artists were influenced by earlier artists, but it is an intersting concept nonetheless. I spent a good couple of hours perusing these galleries, getting very sore feet, but still don't think I did the art justice or give it the time it deserved, there is just so much to see.
It is not all art you'll be glad to hear. After getting those sore feet we decamped to the level 7cafe for a bite to eat for lunch. Again we had to queue, this time for about 30 minutes, and although the service wasn't very good, I thought the food was excellent. It was very simple (I had a roasted vegetable sandwich, and an Egg Mayo sandwich) but tasted very nice and was presented...

...is on Deck 7, and this is where live bands will perform daily, and where you can also play Black-Jack and Roulette too. Also on deck 7 is the Cafe Arkad, Piano Bar, Frejas Krog fast food restaurant. A playroom and arcade machines is by this restaurant.
Deck 6 is where Club Maritim is. This is the disco, which also has live entertainment. Restaurant Albatross is also on deck 6 , and this is where the famous smörgåsbord-buffét is served. Pommern, the à la carte restaurant is also on this deck.
Deck 5 contains the shops and information desk. The shops are of course duty free, so you can stock up on all the alcohol and tobacco you need, as well as perfumes, confectionary and other gifts.
Deck 2 is where the pool and sauna is located. This is the ideal place to relax, and includes a solarium and bubble pool too.

Advantages: Near railway station and bus station Disadvantages: Not an exciting place
...and when they shut their doors they tend to bang them. Besides that it's ok.
I went downstairs to the reception again before going to bed and asked them to book a taxi for me the next morning. The staff did it quickly.
The next morning, I went down for breakfast at 7am. The bar cafe was supposed to be open from 7am but it didn't. A few people were already waiting outside so I waited with them. At 7.10am, the cafe is open and it's quite a big one. I gave my breakfast voucher to the staff and then went on to get my food. It's a all-you-can-eat buffet and there's hot English breakfast + continental. There's fresh orange juice, coffee etc. Kids can eat for free so I think this is good for families with kids. The cafe wasn't crowded at that time probably because it's still early.
You need not check out at this hotel because you need to pay...

We had this machine about a year. Like the previous review, I agree it makes a pretty good cup of coffee - particularly a good crema and in just a few minutes - . You will definitely need to preheat the filter holder before making coffee otherwise it... more
