area of Boston. The hotel is located on the junction of Arlington and St James Ave, there is a very large multi-storey car park or garage as the Americans like to call them across the street. There is also Arlington station a MBTA (Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority) station within 100 metres, this is on the green line a very handy line as it stops at most of the tourist areas such as the science museum, art gallery, prudential tower, and the government centre, and at $1.25 it is a bargain.
The Hotel is very near the Boston Public Garden which is very picturesque and has a beautiful pond which is the summer you can take a Swan paddle boat, unfortunately for us the pond was frozen so no paddle boats this time. Copley Square is about a ten minute walk from the hotel, or available on the MBTA

Advantages: Small, with individual plots for you to stay on, clean and tidy Disadvantages: None worth mentioning
the Mayflower. This is also at the start of the Havenside Country Park which gives you lovely country walks alongside The Wash. All this is around 3 miles from the campsite.
There are so many more places to visit and things to do around Lincolnshire, country houses, castles, wildlife centres, the seaside etc, you won't get bored.

If you haven't guessed by now I really like this site it ...
Advantages: Excellent dollar rate, laid back city Disadvantages: Spent too much shopping and did not get to see the famous New England Fall trees!
to get you into Boston.
We did loose our luggage between Washington and Boston – there was a very tight turn around and we had to clear immigration and recheck our bags in for security reasons on our first point of arrival in the States. Luckily l was forward thinking enough to carry my wash bag, hair bag and so on in my hand luggage so there was no big deal and we got our luggage back in time for morning – no real harm done.
We stayed out in Cambridge across the Charles River from Boston City itself – this was very easily accessible from the airport – the T (Boston metro system) took us from the airport changing once directly to the T stop, which happened to be about 2 minutes from the front door of our hotel.
