This was the 2nd time a group of us have used the Norbreck Hotel. 2 carers and 2 disabled service users, and we can't fault the hotel at all, apart fromt he first time where centre booking had forgot to bok us into the disabled rooms, but since it was an over night stay we coped as best we could.
This time we all went from the Saturday to the Monday.
Now personally I couldn't fault the hotel, after all its a place to lay your head after being out all day, and the staff are the nicest, most helpful staff I have ever met who took the whole groups needs into consideration, especially a fellow Scot from Dunfermline named George who went out of his way to help take the luggage to the rooms for us, THANK YOU GEORGE FROM ALL 4 OF US.
The meals were terrific, the ambience and entertainment were fabulous the only thing that let us down all weekend was the fire doors, which we all know have to be in place, but when you are pushing a wheelchair through them up to 20 times a day it gets a bit tiring, thankfully many fellow guests helped us out, but it really is hard to try and open a door and push a chair through it, very heavy doors after all, maybe these could be updated to self opening doors???
Thank you Norbreck, for everything, its not your fault you are so far out of Blackpool as to miss everything, but for anybody that is able bodied the trams are a great invention, and cheap mode of transport, its just a pity that again chair users can't use these facilities.
Norbreck we will sing your praises to all who will listen and keep doing so.
