The North Laine is very easy to reach, when exiting Brighton Station, go onto the road that goes under the station forecourt (Trafalgar St), just go down the street a little and you will be in the North Laine. This is quite a large shopping area, comprising Trafalgar St, Sydney St, Kensington Gardens, Bond and one other street the name of which I have forgotten.
the choice of shops is very large indeed; you want cool skateboard type wear or more ... ...opened. Highlights of the North Laine include the aforementioned guarana shop with their delicious fruit punch, Borderline records, a great second hand record shop on Bond St, Sandpiper books which sells esoteric academic and art books at bargain prices (a book of Le Corbusier's architectural wonders for £5 anyone?)and the one forty five a shop which sells phat clothing but at prices too high for me unfortunately. ...visiting Brighton this summer, the north lanes are a must for shopping, eating and drinking. Its easy to reach the north lanes, they're just down the road from Brighton train station, about a 5 minute walk. At first, they dont look like much, but as you wander further in, you see more and more shops, restaurants and cafes. I prefer the North lanes to the south lanes, as the shops are more original and unique and there are many opportunities for eating.
... ...- a second hand clothes store, the kensington - good pub, and the bead shop, where you can buy any beads imaginable and create your own jewellery. New shops are always coming into the lanes, as are many side stalls.
The area is pedestrianised, which makes it easy to walk down, and its situated quite near the other lanes, and churchill square, the main shopping area of Brighton.

This is The Brighton Camden where one can buy different clothes like retro and all sorts for the goth looks. ITs a great place for people from London but I wouldn't recommend it to those aged over 50, this place with the brightly colours and bong shops, could very well give them a heart attack.
