Norton Grange Hotel

...The hotel was offering some special offers last month so me and my boyfriend decided to stay there for the weekend when visiting London. It has an ideal location. We went down by train and it's only about 15 minutes walk from Euston station, or a few bus stops away. We arrived early so we left our luggage and was told to get back after 2. The lobby is not huge but nicely decorated. There is an Egyptian sculpture next to the lift, kind of like a replica of those you see in museum, quite special. Again I have to praise its location. It didnot take us long before we reached New Oxford street by foot. Bear in mind it was January when the sale was still going on-I could start my shopping straightaway. Advantages: Friendly staff, plenty to do and see, entertainment provided, beautiful views
Disadvantages: you have to walk outside to get from chalet to main building, great in good weather not so great if you are dressed up to the nines and its raining

...the food at Norton Grange, there was always enough choice, although little plain for my husbands' tastes but it was varied and edible. It was 3 yrs ago we visited Norton Grange and if it has followed the hotels, the restaurant service would have changed last year to a wider variety of food to choose from a buffet bar. The only thing I did not like about Norton Grange was the noise you got from people coming past your chalet on their way back to their chalets, it felt like they were going to come inside it was that close. ...Easily one of the best hotels I have ever stayed in! I dont really know where to start, facilities wise they have an amasing range for a hotel in the middle of the city, they have a spa and a huge swimming pool which is a rareity in the area, they also have a private room for you to practice your golf swing. the bar is 24 hours and the two restaurants have a most delicious dishes (try the chocolate pudding with Tia Maria!) Rooms wise the are modern and a good size with a small mini bar and well equiped bathroom, if you are really splashing out the penthouse is amazing! The best bit however is the view, many rooms look out on to the Tower of London. Service is of an impecibly high standard, staff are friendly and quick and i cant really fault this hotel, always stay when i need a hotel for the city. It is expensive but... Read review
