The Welbeck Hotel, Nottingham
Advantages: Very Central Location, Good Value For Money Disadvantages: 10am Checkout
...Eventually I stumbled upon the Welbeck Hotel. Location wise it seemed perfect, right in the centre of the City, and price wise it was well within my budget too, and so I confirmed my Online booking.
FIRST IMPRESSIONS
Well to be honest the first thing that impressed me was the location. It was less than five minutes walk from the Lace Market, and well within walking distance of all of the other Shops and Attractions.
The next thing that appealed ... ...the address below:
The Welbeck Hotel
Talbot Street
Nottingham

OTHER INFORMATION
The Welbeck Hotel has a total of 96 Double/Twin Rooms but there are no Single Rooms available. No Smoking Rooms are available on request and during the Week it is fairly obvious that this place caters for Businessmen as I noticed a sign that said that extra Phone/Fax lines are available on request for Business use.
All Rooms are air conditioned ...

Super sleeping in good location
Advantages: best beds ever, location, cleanliness Disadvantages: price of food and drink, no free Internet
...city centre hotels made the Park Plaza our automatic choice. Location
The hotel is on Maid Marian Way, just minutes from Nottingham Castle, Market Square and Broad Marsh shopping centre. Victoria shopping centre and the bus and train stations are not too far away. It is possible to book valet parking at the hotel, but this is expensive. The NCP car parks nearby are also expensive. The hotel used to provide a discount for NCP parking, but unfortunately ... ...car at one of the park and ride sites (where it can be left for several days if required) and take the tram to Market Square. Comfort
The wonderfully comfortable beds, which more than satisfy even the high criteria of backache-plagued semi-insomniacs like us, are the main reason for choosing the Park Plaza. I think this is also why so many pilots seem to stay in this hotel. The double-glazing is good and keeps out the noise from the traffic ...

The prisons are full, use the Gateway instead
Advantages: Good place to catch an 18th century disease Disadvantages: You name it, the Gateway has it as a disadvantage
...a Romanian hostel not a Nottingham hotel. I know I've just mentioned it but the carpet was disgustingly dirty.
As I went though my 4th set of fire doors into a stale smoke filled corridor where my room was I was a little confused as I was supposed to be in a non smokers room.
Nothing prepared me for the room, here is a list of the things i can recall:
A powerful smell of very stale smoke
A carpet that you wouldn't want to walk on in socks let ... ...breakfast was appalling. While I don't like Premier Lodges very much at least they are clean (and cheaper) and there is one just a few hundred yards down the road, so if your ever in need of a bed in Nottingham go there, never ever choose the Gateway! ...

Free Parking at THE PARK INN
Advantages: Location for Goose Fair or Polish Club Disadvantages: Dide entrance for Wheel Chairs, makes them feel 2nd class.
...for hotels.
When THE PARK INN came up there could only be one choice as this was about a two min stroll from the Polish Club.
The site I booked thru was BOOKING.COM.
Prices were £67 for a Double Room with Breakfast.
Double Room only £41.25 (Non refundable)
Had a chat with those coming, said not too botherered about Breakfast as we would prob have an early Sunday lunch before they started back.
So Booked 5 Doubles at £41.25.
On confirmation ... ...would still have been £5 cheaper than booking it)
We arrived at the Hotel by Bus from the Centre of Nottingham.
The front Entrance is not wheel chair friendly, just steps. the sign points Wheel Chair users around the side entrance.
Check in was very quick and friendly, at this stage we were told they have a PROMOTION on if you book and pay today BREAKFAST would be £7. It worked as they all then booked breakfast.
At checkin you can elect to have ...

Relaxing time, lovely location
Advantages: location, cleanliness, room quality, architecture Disadvantages: price
...that no one had reviewed Hart's Hotel, Nottingham. A local girl, I have heard a great deal of good things about the hotel over the last couple of years and have harboured a desire to stay there for quite some times. So recently, thanks to a superb special offer ran by the hotel, I finally achieved my aim and stayed at Hart's for one night. Now i'm afraid i must admit to the decadence of this decision - I live in Nottingham and therefore staying at ... ...I didn't need to stay there helped with my assessment of the place. I will go through the specific criteria and explain each of my ratings. For the record, I stayed one night in a standard room. Value for money Ok, so as I mentioned I was fortunate enough to get a room at a very, very reasonable rate. Around half of the standard room tariff rate of £120. So it is hard for me to comment on the value of the room at full price. I will say that the whole ...
