not all that if you know your curries
Advantages: atmosphere
Disadvantages: food, staff, price
Having just been to Curry Lounge in Nottingham this week 06-10-09 I just couldn’t resist having to write about my experience there! Being an Indian food fan and eating in restaurants such as Mumtaz and Akbars I was expecting A* Food, service and atmosphere. Who wouldn’t expect all that knowing Gordon Ramsey gave Curry house the thumbs up in the Channel 4 programme Ramsey’s Kitchen Nightmares.

...asked the waiter if my curry could be hot, only to be told they could not make any changes to the taste, it was a set menu and if I wanted it spicy I was told not to have the set menu but to chose from the main dish section! I was absolutely disgusted, after all it was me who was going to eat it, why shouldn’t I have the choice of how I wanted my dish to be?

Elegant Dining
Advantages: excellent food, great service, beautiful building
Disadvantages: price
...booked us a table at Woodborough Hall. We were there at lunch time, so it was fairly quiet, but they usually require pre-booking. For evening meals, you usually have to book a few weeks in advance. The Hall also offers overnight accommodation and rooms for functions. Since I haven't really tried either of these, I can't give a good review on them. I'll focus my review on Woodborough Hall as somewhere to eat. ~~~ Setting ~~~

GREEK NIGHT OUT.
Advantages: HIGH QUALITY FOOD AND GREEK DANCING
Disadvantages: We had to go home.
PAPPAS RESTAURANT on Radliffe Road Nottingham, just across the road from Trent Bridge Cricket Ground, and not far from Nottingham Forest Football Ground.

We have been to this restaurant (Taverna) on many occassions, but for my review I will concentrate on their Buffet Night.
Once a Month on a Thursday Evening they stage their EAT ALL YOU WANT BUFFET.
The Co-op Girls ...
...out again, so I suggested PAPPAS BUFFET.
A table for 12 was booked at £12 per head (Drinks Extra) for all you can eat.
We arrived on the Bus from Radcliffe on Trent which drops you just across the road from Pappas, very handy.
We trooped into the restaurant at about 7:15 PM, as we were booked in for 7:30.

Horse Chestnut, Ratcliffe on Trent.
Advantages: Great food, great beer great pub.
Disadvantages: None.
...delight the review on the Horse Chestnut at Rattcliffe on Trent, thought it was good and decided to go to visit today.
The pub itself is very nice, welcoming, light, clean and really an oasis amongst the usual run of the mill mass pubs.
The y had a great array of beers, but I had the Cottage B45 which is 5%, a little heavy for lunchtime but I managed it, two had soft drinks and Steve had the Budvar.
Four of us went for Sunday lunch. The cost for ...

We looked at the menu and it had 3 starters,
Homemade mushroom soup, cajun beef sald or potted prawns.
2 of us went for the cajun beef, 1 soup and 1 prawn. We could not find fault with any of it.
What was nice was that we were sat opposite the large window into the kitchen so had full unobstructive view of the kitchen, staff and the food, always a plus.
