I have no interest in football what so ever. But this was the one place my boyfriend definitely wanted to go to while we were in Barcelona so I went along. It was fantastic! The stadium emerges from behind tatty buildings like a mirage in the desert seeming to not fit in with it's surroundings. When we arrived we paid and set upon exploring. I was amazed by the size and the facilities. We were lucky enough to see some of the players training on the pitch and to meet some afterwards on their way out. (Definitely my highlight-they were gorgeous!) The museum of photography was really interesting, showing football through the ages and across the globe. If you are in Barcelona it is definitely worth a visit. We arrived on the underground, then it was a short walk- take a map though it isn't that easy to find! Nou Camp definitely opened my eyes up to the importance of football within Spanish and Catalan culture.
