As you may have read I am French and to begin on ciao.uk, I've decided to write a few words about. This is the city where I was born and where I am living.
Indeed, this is my first review on the British version of CIAO! so please, don't be too hard on me !!
AMIENS is situated in the Northern part of France, between Lille and Paris (two cities you can board the Eurostar).
It is in the Somme and I know some of you are already acquainted withe area since I've seen this category.
But let's concentrate on AMIENS !!
I am aware that I may not have the same view on my city as you would if you came, but I hope you'll be interested !!

Advantages: Cheap, clean and comfortable. Disadvantages: They are all identical.
...On a whim, we decided to visit France for a few days away; this really is the way you should conduct your business! Just go! We caught the ferry, drove to St Omer, sat outside a pleasant pavement cafe, opened up a map and stuck a pin in it. Well - it might have been a pen. It's mightier than the sword and, by chance, it selected Amiens. Totally at random. Off we went.
We arrived and were impressed; it's a great place to visit. Now to find somewhere to stay. A trip to the VERY helpful local tourist information office, and we selected the Holiday Inn Express, turned up and tried to book two rooms. Simple!
"Yes - we have rooms" they said. "But our computer's down", they added. "Come back in half an hour!" We did, a few drinks later. The computer, miraculously, was "up". The rooms were free - well, available and cheap - and we gladly...

Advantages: Cheap, Friendly staff, Great Location Disadvantages: Not close to the eiffel tower
...happen to be the news. (There is an update package but it costs).
The bathroom was small but modern and clean. The loo was in a seperate room.
The only problem with the room is that the walls are thin, it is common to hear the person next door in the bathroom.
This hotel also has a small but good gym, this was mostly empty so its great for keeping up fitness.
The best thing about this hotel is that it was cheap.
The hotel is now called Novotel Paris Est....
