I had decided to treat my mother to a weekend break in London and upon researching various hotels on the internet chose the Novotel Euston (formerly Bernard Shaw Plaza). The cost was £79 for a twin en-suite including full english breakfast for two which I thought was very reasonable. Upon arrival we were very impressed with the exterior and interior of the hotel, the staff were extremely helpful and courteous. The hotel has a panoramic lift which if you take up the the sixteen floor has wonderful views of London, including the London Eye and Canary Wharf . The room itself was spacious and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. We ordered room service for Saturday supper which was brought up promptly, average cost of a meal was £13 and the food was superb. Menu offers a good choice on British and International ...

Good choice for London

Advantages: Reasonable price, location, nice rooms
Disadvantages: Room temperature, difficult for disabled

On the weekend the present Mr Tart and myself went to a ball in London. The original plan had been to stay on a friend's sofa but we decided that we wanted to make a proper weekend of it. After a donation from my aunt to 'make sure we had a good time' we decided to stay in a hotel. We had a budget of £100, so after a lot of Internet searching for a bargain I found the Paddington Court Best Western Shaftesbury Hotel. BOOKING: I booked into the hotel through their website, www.shaftesburyhotel.co.uk. The hotel is one of a chain of Shaftesbuy Best Western hotels. They have a few in Paddington and around the Hyde Park area and some others in central London. Novotel London Euston..3 years ago ,my son is 3 ?

Advantages: Excellent location, very reasonably priced, high quality of service, cleanliness & efficiency. Easy to book online.
Disadvantages: Temperature control in room (we were very hot), drinks prices in bar a little steep even for central London.

I booked this hotel online a couple of months before visiting London on a theatre trip. The overall booking process was extremely user-friendly and efficient. The price of a standard double room was much cheaper than the price advertised at the hotel on the day. Presumably because I booked online and in advance. For central London, I thought the price very reasonable - please keep it this way! We had no problems at all with the room apart from it was a little hot for our liking so we had to sleep with the window open as we could find no temperature control/air-con. Overall great stay . We would definitely use the Novotel again when travelling to London.It has a special place in our hearts as our son was consumated in this hotel.nudge nudge wink wink. ...
