Nuwara Eliya is the best place for the people who are lookinf for a releif for their minds messed because of the maddening noises of traffic and heat. The salubrious climate and brethtaking landscape create a soothing and peaceful heaven for us. There are so many majestic waterfalls.
Journey was quite exciting. The scenary was enchanting. There were lush and green plantations among the mountains. People have grown Carrots and leeks. In the colonial period Nuwara Eliya was called "Little Enngland". It was the home for planters. Ifeel it is an ideal holiday resort with so many places of varied interest.
Lake Gregory was a pleasing sight. Boat ride was a thrilling experience
Haggala garden was few miles away. It has a natural setting with many plants and trees. Not only Sri lankan but also foreign species. All the flowers were rich in colour and variety. There was a special area called "Rose Garden". There were lots of fresh roses.
Wonderful Horton Plains is a green plateaue in fauna and flora species found no where else in the world. It is a tresure trove of rare plants. That area was covered with a very cool mist. One end of the plains is called the "World's End". It falls abruptly deep down to a vally. It unfolds a panoramic view of a range of mountains.
Nuwara Eliya situated in Central province in Sri Lanka. It takes approximately 4-5 hours to reach there from Colombo.
Nuwara Eliya is a location that must not be missed.

really set the scene well, but didn't give any info about the place-where is it, how do you get there, whats it known for, what is the accomodation like etc.
