Advantages: We could leave and buy elsewhere Disadvantages: Just don't go there
We had read about the island before we traveled to Kos and that was one of the main reasons for the holiday, visiting the volcano.
We listened to what the Thomas Cook rep had to say about getting to the island and the trip around and thought it was value for the money they were offering and at the same time a meal was included in the price. Great we thought more time to see rather than looking for somewhere to eat during the day and ... ...to make............
The trip over to the island was wonderful, tranquil but no dolphins to travel with us.
We had a wonderful tour rep, who came aboard the coach explained where we were going what we would see and just what we could do in our free time. Great.
At the same time he asked us all what we would like for lunch, so that it would be ready for us all when we arrived at the restaurant. We all voted ... more

What a mistake to make............

This review is not about the island, just the worst place in Greece we have eaten, or chose not to.
We visited what he had said and it was great.
Then lunch.
The rep showed us to FRAZIS POPI, I would advise all visitors to avoid it like the plague.
We had salad, mine was white cabbage, cucumber and vinegar, unpleasant and inedible.
To follow, I had ordered, meatballs, another mistake they were cold with cold chips on a cold plate served by an old lady in slippers with no finesse at all shouting out fish, omelet, chicken, pork. You had to put up your hand for what you had ordered. All cold. The chicken was by far the worst thing I have ever seen let alone eaten.
The stuff you find lying on the street after at 3-00am on a Sunday morning after a night out in any English town look more edible and probably was.
We looked around for the rep, he had sense and was no where to be seen, he must have seen this food every time he came and thought I am not eating here.
The old lady didn't even eat it she had a nice looking chunk of bread.
All the other diners looked as astonished as us at what was placed in front of us as a meal.
Robert and I got up and walked out. We have never in the 16 years of Greek travel seen such utter rubbished served up under the name of food.
We walked a little further along the road and came across a gyros shop and for 2 euro had a great gyros.
When we arrived back at our apartment and saw the rep she asked after our trip. We enlightened her as above. She did say that she had never been and that during the season they send people out there to check on the food, they must have either had their eys closed, or didn't go there at all. Our comment she said would be passed back to management and looked into, (I can see the pigs flying now.)
I have attached a photo of this remarkable place, so if you are ever in the area, do give it a miss.
