The above are the reason of the low cost of the ticket with Southwest that sometimes is one/tenth of the one of competitors. ...It was our 30th wedding anniversary in May and we wanted a holiday to remember! After much deliberation we decided on a music themed road trip in America. Starting in Chicago, we would travel via the old Route 66 to St Louis, then onward to Nashville, Memphis, Jackson, Lafayette and finally New Orleans. The next decision was with which airline to travel. To a degree the decision was made for us as American Airlines fly directly to Chicago daily from Manchester (our nearest airport) at a reasonable time - leaving at 10.30 a.m. and arriving in Chicago's O'Hare at 1 p.m. (Other UK airports served by American Airlines are London's Stansted and Heathrow). Advantages: Close to Tube stations and central to London
Disadvantages: Very busy on Friday/Saturday nights.

...Situated off Leicester Square, behind the Hollywood cafe, Waxy O'Connors is a warm, lively Irish bar split over 4 levels. The decor is fantastic, beer excellent, and Friday/Saturday nights have a party atmosphere straight out of Ireland. Anyone looking for a good night out should seriously consider this bar. The decor is similar to that of a cave - rough plaster and subdeued lighting, and in the huge 3-level main bar, there is an ancient (now dead) tree protruding from the wall. The restaurant serves excellent food at all hours, and there is an option to eat from the balcony overlooking the rest of the bar.
