This lake is mainly for the carp and catfish angler and is an easy water to fish. Being small there are never more than 8 anglers allowed to fish it at any one time and you need to book it up in advance.

Their are some big carp here, up to 35lb and many other good doubles. Catfish were introduced to the water several years ago and seem to thriive there, the largest weighed in at over 90lb and as far as I know it is still in there.

Facilities are excellent with a cafe, toilets and tackle shop. Food can also be ordered and delivered to your swim from one of several take aways in the area. I particularly recommend the Chineese.
Price wise it is expensive, £20 for a day ticket, but with the prospect of some huge carp and a giant catfish it is worth it for the serious angler.
Worm is one of the best baits although boilies, squid and luncheon meat also work very well.
A clean lake which is nestled in pleasant surroundings you wouldn't know it was there if you weren't told about it.
I fish this lake from time to time as a treat. Night sessions are allowed for an additional fee.
Staff at the lake are friendly and offer some great advice and tips on fishing methods. A great experience.
